The sliding part of my phone, where the screen and speaker are, is slowly dying on me. It will black out randomly, or not come on when the phone is in function, I can tell as the numberpad lights up and the sound has similar symptoms and they are slowly getting worse. I need to a way transfer at least all my contacts to my SIM Card, some what but not completely blind, so I can transfer them to a new phone. If anyone can write a detailed description of the steps that would be great. Feel free to ask questions. Thank you very much, -Will
It's the ribbon cable, I've already posted how to disassemble the phone and put in a new one. Costs 4 dollars on Ebay.

Thanks much for your answers. My phone was in warranty so I'm getting a new one shipped. I called AT&T and they gave me a walk through on how to transfer all of the contacts to the SIM. I'm sure if it worked but its worth a try.
Open Menu (Top left button with 3 dots)
Click down arrow once, then select(middle button) to open the Address Book
Click Select to open Contact List
Click Select again
Down arrow 3 times, then Select
Down once, click Select
Click Select
If you have passwords set, as I did, this will make this process extremely complicated. I would reccomend going to the store and having an assitant do it.
