I refilled my cartridges and overfilled or damaged my magenta cartridge. The printer will not print magenta. It prints the other cartridge colors that I refilled at the same time. I bought a new magenta oem cartridge. It will not print either.

Hi there! The problem is in you magenta toner cartridge. It happens when a cartridge is refilled or it has damaged PCR.The best way to fix this is by changing the magenta toner. If you have other questions pls feel free to ask!
OK now this might seem bizarre, but did you go ahead and click the "Black Only" print option?
I have a C6180. Just installed all new cartridges. Tried to print and got the message that Cyan is empty. Tried all sorts of things. Then out of frustration clicked the Black Onl option. Document came out printed in color! Double checked with a picture that has lots of cyan colors. It all printed too! Go figure.
I refilled Canon cartridge CL-811. I filled all 3 colors. Magenta Cyan Yelloware flowing well,. Even if I wipe the cart on paper tissue, 3 colors are coming out (pink magenta and Yellow).but while printing yellow colour isnot printing,. Any idea how I can fix the problem?
This is the cartridge color problem, if you've refilled the cartridge, there must be proportion problem (magenta/yellow/cyan), or if you print dark colors like green or blue (which uses cyan and yellow mostly) and never use the red or other color (magenta and black), cyan and yellow might have finished up. If you can refill it proportionately, go ahead, but i would suggest you to purchase new cartridges and install.
Thanks for using FixYa.
At a guess you are using recycled toners? If the recycler has not worked out the refilling procedure properly, the problem you experienced with the exploding Cyan toner is common. It is possible in the act of blowing out the loose cyan toner your have used to much air pressure, possibly blowing toner into the laser beam units, or damaging the toner sensor unit for magenta.
A diagnostic inspection, by a technician would be suggested.
sounds lke your yellow nozzle not working properly...had same issue on lexmark printer, ended up geting this epson...learnt from my mistakes...perhaps it ran dry? or you left the yellow cartridge out longer than the rest....only you might know what happened
