I have an Plustek OpticFilm 7200 that worked with Windows XP. I can not get it to work with Windows7.

If you got Silverfast with the scanner, the driver should be on the CD.
But you still can get support from Silverfast for your software. I'm sure they can provide the driver, or can tell you where to get it.

I have a Plustek OpticFilm 7600i SE film scanner. Every time I try and load-up the setup disc, the set up install starts and then comes up with this error message: An error (-500 : 0x8004ace8) has...

It is quite possible that there is another piece of software that is clashing with your Plustek OpticFilm scanner. It is hard to tell which software is having a clash. If you remove that software from your system you will obtain the desired results. I suspect the SP3 of Windows XP may be responsible for this because Microsoft has indicated that Windows XP SP3 is not for everyone. If you install Windows XP SP2 uninstalling XP SP3 your problem can definitely be rectified.

to download the 64-bit compatible driver.

How do I install my seagate freeagent external harddrive into my macbook? my computer keeps asking whether I want to erase everything on the hard drive first. I'm afraid it will erase any software that...

the soft ware that comes with it will also be erased, as it is a windows based identification,seagate free agent has mac utilities on its site, try to find out on www.seagate.com. you will find one for mac format and mac installation .

You can use this page to find the appropriate driver files: http://www.plustek.com/support/download.asp The specific file you require depends on the serial number of the device. Make sure you grab the correct one.

Go to Plustek's web site and look for the driver and software download section. They should have it if it is available.

As with many companies that sell product and do not continue to support, Plustek belongs to this group. They have never provided a driver for mac ox for this scanner. I guess they just want to sell and not support.

you are right - they can't even provide a driver update for the OpticFilm 7400 for Mac OSX 10.7.5 so my whole scanner is useless. Needless to say I will never buy another product from Plustek.
