This is new for this dishwasher. It's been working fine for more than 8 years. It's really noisy, but gets the job done. Now there's a cloudy film on dishes. I've tried changing detergents and using a jet dry. Is it a rinsing issue? I'm sure my landlord won't want to buy a new one.

Cloudy film is usually from hard water. Or it means the dishes arn't drying properly. you wanna make sure your using jet dry and that your not using liquid soap. Liquid soap is a killer of dishwashers and creates mineral deposits. If you have hard water getting a water softener helps too. Theres a cleaning agent called dishwasher magic that works to clean the dishwasher . You wanna make sure your heater is coming on too.
