Okay for anyone who still needs info on this, I just got off the phone with ACER. It's VERY easy as it turns out. The "cowling" or plastic cover over the hinge where the stand enters the back of the monitor just LOOKS like it's part of the back of the monitor. It actually pops right off if you just squeeze the sides of it, fit your fingernail under the edge and POP it right off. I really thought it was part of the back of the monitor, but it's not. Once it pops off you'll see 4 screws. The rest is self explanatory. You don't even need to take the based of the stand off, it has nothing to do with the 2 screws inside there.

Hope this helps if anyone's stuck with the same issue.

Hi my acer turns on gets but gets stuck non the blue page. it wont go any further. the mouse moves, and even the linksky is working.

Is it possible to remove the monitor standfrom na Acer AL2016W monitor

Im under the impression you want to wall mount the monitor. Ive done this with a few monitors it should just unscrew and basically fall off? Have a look underneath the base for any screws they will be somewhere keep looking.

I cannot tilt the X191W display also

This monitor will tilt 20 degrees back and 5 degrees forward. It does not rotate.

My acer monitor image is faded and washed out

Adjust contract and luminosity: decrease contrast, see how it goes.
ACER monitors tend to have control settings that are out of the range for proper viewing.

Tilt new monitor???

mcdevito75 here, I also have an Acer and it Doesn't tilt, that doesn't mean yours won"t, try to hold the monitor by the top and simply try to tilit it while makeing sure the base stays flat on the desk, (table) don"t force anything. Also look for any kind of screw, or handle connected to the base (bottom) or near bottom of back of monitor. Hope this helps. Oh! also check the manual that came with the monitor, mine has no mention of tilt. Sorry.

Hoe do I remove teh attached stand on an ACER AL 1913?

Where the footpiece joins up with the screen, you'll find a round cover from left to right which just clips in. carefully squeeze the ends and pull away untill released. under the cover you'll find four screws that holds the footpiece and screen together. Good Luck, jus004
