Okay...you need to unplug the machine, first. Remove the two screws that are located at the lint filter on top of the dryer. Move the dryer out from from the wall and disconnect the dryer hose. Remove the back panel. The screws are 1/4 inch socket drive screws. With the back off, you will need to remove the dryer vent baffle on the left hand side as you are looking at it from the back. This will be the long chute that the lint filter goes into. Clean the baffle out thoroughly. With it removed from the machine you can probably get away with rinsing it with water. Just make sure you dry it off good inside and out. Inspect the blower fan assembly. Make sure you clean it off real well. I would not recommend removing the fan, as they have a tendency to break when removing. Check in and around the bottom of the dryer casing and vent exhaust tube. Make sure get all the soap cleaned up. If you don't, you can get lint accumulations and a soapy residue that turns to a sticky goo. This dryer configuration is actually easier than the front door style lint filters. Just make sure you reinstall everything in the reverse order that you have taken it off. Keep all screws in a handy container so you don't lose them (there may be a lot of them). When reinstalling the screws on the top of the dryer for the lint filter opening, you may have to move the dryer chute around a bit to get the screws to realign. Do not drop the screws down the chute, or you will have to take the unit apart again to get them out. Good luck and let me know if this helps you, and if I can assist any further. My friend has an xqg65-11 all in one that she bought used. It worked fine for a few weeks, then started to not move to the next cycle, it just stopped. She has been manually clicking it to the next cycle....

There is a lint filter right under your washer door. You push that lid open, and you will find the lint filter. I have the same machine. but min is an xqg50-11. Is that a washer/dryer combo?

My dryer keeps showing clogged lint filter. I have cleaned the filter and the area under the filter. How do I clean to the exhaust tube? It is leaving my clothes damp, but the dryer is getting very hot...

You should post model number and manufacturer for better answers, but all dryers have an exhaust duct that builds up lint in it over time. I take mine apart every few years and it always has lint built up in the exhaust before it even gets out to the vent pipe. Mine is a Kenmore/Roper, and to take the exhaust duct out you take out two screws from the top under the lint filter door, and then take off the back cover and remove four screws from the duct itself. Then I scrape it out and/or vacuum it with my shop vac. I'm heading away from the computer for the night, but if you post model information I'll take a look tomorrow evening, or one of the other experts here can help you out.

How do you replace a belt on model 11060622990

Unplug the dryer.
Remove the lint filter.
Remove the 2 screws at the lint filter opening.
Use a putty knife between the top lid and the front panel to release the clips.
They are about 2 inches in from right and left sides where the top meets the front panel.
Lift the lid towards the rear of the dryer.
Look inside the top right and left corners of the front panel and remove the screws holding the front to the cabinet. Remove the door switch wires and set the door aside.
Place the new belt over the drum, ribbed side towards the drum.
Look under the drum for the belt tensioner. It is S shaped with a wheel on it.
Place the base of the tensioner in the slots below the motor pulley.
Feed the right side of the belt through the opening under the wheel with the smooth side of the belt touching the wheel.
Place this side of the belt over the motor pulley with the ribbed side touching the pulley.
Replace the front panel.
Hook up the door switch wires.
Replace the panel screws.
Reattach the top lid and lint filter screws. Replace the lint filter.
Plug in the dryer.

My Kenmore Series 90 dryer won't run as it appears the door does not hit the actuator. It would appear either the door has moved to a lower position or the actuator has moved up into the dryer. May I ask...

The door switch or actuator is broken. A common problem. On most Kenmore dryers this is replace by lifting the top. Since you haven't given the whole model number I will discuss raising the top on the most common model.

If your model has a lint filter at the top the slide show below should show you how to raise the top.

Kenmore Dryer

Disconnect power to unit. Lift the cover from the lint filter or if yours is the one with a filter and cover together, remove the whole filter. You will see 2 screws under the cover/filter, remove them. Now, you will need a putty knife or a thin shafted straight screw driver to remove the top panel. Push the putty knife or screw driver to "pop" the front top clips. The top panel will hinge back towards the wall and can be left there. Just inside the top of the front panel, you will see 2 screws, remove them. You will see the wires for the door switch on the right side. *** the top of the front panel toward you to gain access to the switch for replacement.

Reverse process for reassembly. Good Luck

Bosch dryer lint light flashes

My Bosch Nexxt electric dryer had the same problem with the lint filter light blinking and the dryer not running. It turned out that the door switch was not engaging. The service technician informed me that there is a plastic tab (available only by opening the top access panel) that was not fully snapped in place. When he snapped the tab back in place and then secured it with a screw, the door switch fully engaged, the lint filter light went out, and the dryer ran perfectly! I hope that helps you!

Lint Filter in Whirlpool Agitator washing Machine

I have a regular top loader and the lint filter is on the underside of the inner tub. You have to remove the inner tub to get to it. You might be able to find a service manual explaining this at appliancejunk.com.
