Oh dear!!! Your son is very naughty!!! You should never connect cables or parts from another device to other devices not meant for them, unless they are a basic universal usb type cable etc. Most likely your son has fried a very delicate part inside you camera. It may well have worked at first, but many things will seem to work like that but eventually it will cause issues. Usually fairly quickly. The fried part may be small, like a connector or it could be a larger more exoensive part, unless it is still in warranty, you will either have to take it to a repair shop, and tell them the issue (high/incorrect vaultage leading to a possible fried part) or I hope you have warranty, and send it away. I would never suggest to another to open a camera but....I have fixed many cameras, but unless you are willing to have a go, it can be a bit daunting. I repaired a dvd this way. It turned out to be a fried part worth 30.00 but better than a whole new dvd. Never play with electrical stuff that is connected to anything and make sure not batteries are in!!!!

Can't get bushnell trail camera 8mp to come on

Use lithium (non-rechargeable) high energy batteries for best results. This is clearly a power supply problem. If it doesn't work, send it back for replacement. If the batteries are self-contained, ensure they are fully charged using the charger supplied with the camera. Remember, rechargeable batteries are only good for a maximum of two years. Cameras, in general, do not work well with rechargeable batteries as the voltage is less, i.e.; 1.25 volts vs. 1.5 volts per AAA/AA/C or D size battery.

The flash on my camera doesn't work

There are three reasons, open filament in the flash bulb, defective high voltage capacitor, and the step up transformer.

How to get a usb charger?

You can get USB chargers at a computer shop or on the Internet.
Here are 3 links to the Internet for USB chargers.
I suggest you get a unversal USB charger that can work in different countries with different mains voltage.

The manual says "your camera comes with a compatible charger, your only required to put the battery into the charger and charge the lithium battery directly from the outlet" The camera came with an AC...

You put the battery into the camera. Put the USB end from your computer cord into the end of the AC adapter hook it up to your camera. Ta-da! Everything should be working smoothly in the battery/charger department. :)

Canon powershot sd750

The AC adapter for the battery charger shoud work from 110V-240V with auto detection for voltage. Look at the marking on the AC adapter and the input voltage should show 110V-240V. Once you verify this, the charger will work on 220V and you will only need the outlet adapter.

Battery Wont charge

I have the DMC-TZ1. The charger is labelled "Panasonic DE-A25 battery charger". It has 3 contacts where the battery fits in. With no battery in place, the voltage between the top and middle pins is 2.61 V. The voltage between the middle and bottom pins is 2.19 V. Check those voltages. If they are very different from mine, I rather think the charger is not working. You can buy the batteries for very low prices on ebay from Hong Kong and other asian sources, but I've been told by someone who tried them that they do not work. Perhaps you have run into one of those. If you can find someone else with the same battery, a quick swap will tell you if your camera is okay. I got my camera on ebay and it works perfectly.

Overseas Use

Yes. The power supplies and battery chargers supplied with all Powershot Digital Cameras are designed to work on input voltages from 100-240 volts (50/60 Hz). The only item that you may need is a plug adapter that allows you to plug the U.S. type power supply or battery charger into the foreign type wall outlet. Plug adapters should be easily available at a local electronics store.
