Thanks but when I entered my wii into my club nintendo account it says I am not eligible for the extra worrinty is there anything else I can do????? (Without paying the $85 there asking for)

I can't get my Wii to accept discs, it locks down when you try to put disc in and also a loud clicking noise is coming out of it. We just bought it in December. There isn't anything stuck in there that I can see.

I already got it fixed, but I had to pay the $85. I have a one year warranty now that they sent back with it. Thanks for all the help.

The Wii only does this if you already have a game inside. If there is no game inside request a repai with nintendo.

Make sure you have one year worrinty still. If not become a member of club nintendo. Register it and the worrinty will be extended by 90 days. Then repairs are free! Try it!!

I'm sorry to say this but no. But I have faith that you will stumble across a solution someday.

WII system turns on and screen pulls up it just wont read the discs. dics are clean with no scratches.

A couple things could be happening.
Make sure you're inserting the disc properly as the Wii will accept the disc even if you put it in backwards. Make sure that the label side (the side with all the pictures) is facing toward the thin side of the Wii and the shiny side is facing the thick side of the Wii.
If that doesn't make a difference, then it's like a problem with the disc drive itself which can only be fixed by Nintendo or a repair shop. They'd have to take your Wii apart and possibly replace the drive.

Wii unable to accept/eject disc making buzzing sound

  • When the disks were put in/taken out the little plastic clips in side the wii may have broken off. Might be stuck near the motor. Gently shake while rotating the the wii with all the cords off with no game inside. listen for anything loose. If your lucky the piece will go to another part of the wii. Best thing is to find someone to take it apart to check.

Wont eject game disc

From a previous FixYa member:

"I managed to eject a WII disc out manually very easily:
- Disconnect the drive
- You see the white plastic mechanism on your right side and the wheel connected to the motor
- turn the wheel towards the back side of the drive while pushing the half inch square plastic piece towards the left.
You will see the disc coming out while you are turning the wheel."

Wii wont accept disc

Go to the section on "screw types" to find the unique screw that was used to on the Wii. It's likely to be torx. T3, T4, T5, T6.....

http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Screw

Then from there, you can go to an electronic store.

Not taking disks

I have the same problem but I have a solution!

If you unplug your Wii's power you can slide the disk inside. When you turn the Wii back on you should be able to play.
