Deep fryer not working

The indicator light does not come on & the reset button is reset so the unit does not heat up

    Power indicator light not coming on. Element not heating up. Reset button is reset. Still not working.

SOURCE: fryer quits heating have to hit reset switch

This button should be a high limit switch. If it is a small red button mounted to a 2" x 2" or so device. You most likley have an issue with the thermostat letting it over heat. The best thing to do would be to replace both the thermostat and the high limit for safety reasons.

Is the oil coll and it still doesnt reset?If so the hi limit is bad,which is the reset.If you gain acess to it you will see 2 wires.Connect these wires and it should heat.HOWEVER this is a saftey device that prevents the oil from getting too hot and catching on fire.

Trouble light comes on, can barely read the instruction around it(faded over time)It says to push a red button but not sure where the button is. Help!!
When trouble light comes on, it indicates that the hi-limit is tripped (this happens when oil temperature exceeds 450 Fahrenheit). The red button is located at the upper back panel of the unit, give it a push to reset but if nothing happens after resetting the button, the hi-limit needs to be replaced. Also try to check if the thermostat is working, stuck thermostat's mechanical contact will cause the hi-limit to trip.

hi limit device possibly tripped off. look for a reset button, usually located at the back of the unit and reset it.

Look for a reset button on the unit, Push it, you will hear a "click' then the unit will work. If not, there is an electrical problem, the element, or temp control is bad.

I have a rival CZF530 fryer that stopped heating in the middle of cooking, light also went out. Reassembled, still nothing. Can't find reset button the book talks about. Only used once before

Deep Frier power indicator light is on but will
Most fryers have what is called a hi limit. When the oil temp reaches a certain Max temp this switch opens the circuit and will not allow the unit to heat. On commercial fryers, the hi limit has a really small red plunger button. Push it in to reset.
