I have a Sharp sf2116 photocopier (old type) and the red man is flashing on the the keyboard. What does this mean? How can I fix this and remove the flashing led and get the machine working again. Thanks in anticipation for your help
Thats right sharp man - if the waste toner bottle overflows it backs up the cleaning auger which then causes the drum to get marked. The waste toner bottle is right next to the fuser unit (which is hot) and the waste toner hargens with the heat and turns into abrasive little "rocks" just waing for the opportunity to destroy a drum. Just get a tech out as the 2116 does need a PM (periodic maintenance) every 10 to 15 thousand copies
