Question about Casio Exilim EX-S600 Digital Camera
It shows red when charging but I can't get it to turn on whether it's on the dock or not. When I connect the USB it won't connect I still can't get it to turn on. it worked fine but i haven't used it for nearly 3 mos and now it won't work. Please help.
*** SOLUTION *** Mine had the same problem. My camera works now. What did the trick for me was removing the Flash Card. It appears card went bad and the camera would never power on because of this. I just removed the card and the camera powered on. I tested the card on my printer and it wont let me read or reformat. Hope this helps. -HenryVerde

I too called the number posted above and the lady on the phone said it was indeed a problem with this models lithium battery. Casio will send you a new battery for free once you provide the serial number on the bottom of the camera as well as your name, phone number, and mailing address. EASY. Took me 3 minutes.

I read on another post that tons of people are having this problem (I am too right now) and all you have to do is call casio at 1-800-435-7732 (9am-8pm M-F & 9am-5pm S/S) and in less than 5 minutes, they will be sending you a new battery for free. There's another number for those in the UK... I don't have it off hand.

I finally bought a new battery and it started to work fine again. I found the battery in the first (battery) shop I went to, so I guess it is a common model... about 20€ though...

Casio should be sued. There's been so much of this problem. They produced so much faulty batteries.
