What this means is that the "Fornat" ie:the Coding & extension, is not recognised by the PSP as a "Valid" format. What you have to do is use a convertor that converts and correcrly names the files extension. Please find below sites to help with conversion to the correct file types. http://www.tech-recipes.com/rx/2406/psp_copy_convert_dvds_to_psp http://www.pspvideo9.com/

How to download movies

To watch a downloaded movie, clip or any other video on your PSP, you need to:

1. Get your video converted to MP4 format. PSP supports MP4 and .H264 (MP4 part 10, AAC).

There are many free programs that convert your videos into the MP4 format that your PSP likes.
2. Please ensure to set audio frequency to 24000Hz (24Khz). If you set it to 48Khz PSP will not play saying "unsupported data".
3. Transfer it to your PSP and Enjoy!
There is a complete guide, with free video for download at:

Good luck and thank you for using FixYa! We would sure appreciate a 4 "thumbs-up" rating for this FREE answer. Happy holidays!

Psp video playback

Hi. The PSP only plays a limited number of video formats; I think off hand MP4 is one. It will not play AVI formatted files, the most common type on PC for downloading.Check the file type of the movie you are trying to watch, by right-clicking on the file on your PC then selecting 'properties'. It should say there. Also holding the cursor over the file for a few seconds should show you the file info. I am unsure how to convert between video formats, you might be able to download something online that will do that for you.

Cant see video from youtube

The PSP only reads mp4 type video files. You cannot use youtube videos directly on the PSP. However, there is a way to convert them. You can click into the following application. I have this myself, so that I can convert flash videos to MP4 format to play on my PSP:

http://www.imtoo.com/youtube-video-converter.html

You just convert from youtube to mp4 format with the program above and transfer the mp4 file to your PSP and it will work just fine. You can download a free demo of the ImToo program, but it will convert only up to 3 minutes of video.

My psp video

search in google for (WinAVI MP4 Converter).
the out put file should be two file's.
the video name should be (M4V20001 and continue M4V20002, M4V20003, M4V20004).
if not you should name it.
the other file name should be (M4V20001.THM and continue M4V20002.THM, M4V20003.THM, M4V20004.THM)
the same here if not you should name it too.
and it will work :)

IVC help

Well the problem with the MP4's is that for each device it uses a different encoder. Basically what i'm trying to say is that you would find it better to get another converter and the one that you should get since you use u torrent would be ImTOO MP4 Video Converter i have used it before and it works perfectly for everything except mkv. The torrent that you need to get would be this one
http://isohunt.com/torrent_details/26084177/mp4+converter?tab=summary
just click on the link and once you are there click on the download torrent and you will get it as soon as you get a few seeds and peers. Hope it works
