If you can take the back off, you should see the fuse and the circuit board. Then you can also take the speakers out unless they are glued in. You need to see if there is an electronics store in the area that can assist you in recone or voice coil replacement. The issue that some speakers like YAMAHA are protected and cannot be reconed.

Krk 10 s will not power up what to check first why it's not working

If your KRK 10S studio monitors are not powering up, there are a few things you can check to try to determine the cause of the issue:
  1. Check the power source: Make sure that the power outlet you are using is working and that the power cable is securely plugged into the monitor and the outlet.
  2. Check the power switch: Make sure that the power switch on the monitor is turned on and that it is not stuck in the off position.
  3. Check the fuse: Check to see if the fuse on the back of the monitor is blown. If it is, replace it with a new one of the same rating.
  4. Check the voltage: Make sure that the voltage on the power outlet is appropriate for your monitors.
  5. Check the cables: Make sure that all the cables (power, audio, etc) connected to the monitor are securely plugged in and not damaged.
  6. Check the internal power supply: If none of the above steps resolve the issue, it's possible that the problem may lie with the internal power supply of the monitor. In this case, you may need to contact the manufacturer or a professional to have the monitor repaired or serviced.
It's also important to make sure that the monitors are not in a power saving mode. Consult the manual for more information on how to check the power-saving modes.
If you are still having issues with your KRK 10S studio monitors after trying these troubleshooting steps, you may need to contact KRK support for further assistance.

I need to remove one power amp module from an older KRK Expose E8. The obvious screws have been removed but the module still feels firmly attached to the cabinet. Is there something that I am missing?

Hello
If you have unscrewed all the seating screws of the circuit board, pull out three knobs at the rear side [HF SHELF/SYSTEM LEVEL ADJUST/HF LEVE ADJUST] and rings screwed to the switches of LF Level adjust, and the screws of XLR socket. Amp with its seating frame wcan be pulled out.

OK.

My 2000 Acura TL.....the driver side window does not go up and down any longer. Can I fix it myself?

If you're lucky it's just that the fuse is blown. Refer to your car's manual for which fuses are which, and replace the blown fuse. They cost no more than a few dollars for a whole bunch.

Think I fried the lcs 1030 main speaker board. The wrong power supply got connected and now the speaker doesn't work. Is there any way to troubleshoot and possibly fix

If you can get the speakers open, check for blown capacitors or puffy capacitors. If you see any they will need to be replaced with capacitors with the same UF rating and at least the same voltage and make sure you line up the striped line with the striped line of the motherboard. You'll need to be able to undsolder and solder the caps off and on.

If you see big black marks on the board then the board is basically usueless cause it would cost more to fix then the cost of the board itself. Also check for any blown fuses and if there is you would need to replace them with the same rating.

I have a KRK Rokit Powered 5 studio monitor and the fuse blew out, so i replace the fuse with the spare they provide and ''bam'' blows again as soon as i turn on the monitor. i have had these for about 4...

Look for a failure in the power supply section. You will need electronic experience or someone who has that.

If the fuse is glass and blows silvery inside thia means a direct short inside. SUSPECT the input rectifier or filter capacitor(s).

Do testing with a 100 watt light bulb in series with the hot side of the power cord to avoid blowing fuses.

BLOWN FUSE?

If no warranty - remove amp and check sub to another amp to isolate speaker from internal amp. Either the amp blew a channel or subwoofer blew. JBL's are typically well built. Has this speaker often been pushed loud often?

Speakers shorted system

I know this was posted a long time ago but you never know who else this might happen to. The problem is one two fuses were blown. You'll need to replace them. All you have to do is open the case with a screw driver. The fuses look like little glass tubes less than an inch long. There are up to five fuses that you need to check. The fuses have a small metal thred in the center of the glass tube. If the thred is broken that is the fuse you new to replace. The fuses are not expensive. Less than a dollar each. All you have to do is pull out any fuse the has been blown. I'm guessing two fuses were blown.
