Sim Card How do i go about taking out the sim card from my Audiovox CDM8900. I need to know this so i can use it to switch phones, because I purchased a new one thanks

  • Anonymous Jan 09, 2008

When I bought Audiovox CDM-8900 (verizonwireless) I thought it was a tri-band cell phone that I could use when I went to Asia by inserting a sim card GSM or GPRS

Does anyone know how to do it? Really appreciate

This is not a GMS type phone, it is a CDMA, which means no SIM card.

Well usually the SIM card is under the units Battery, so remove back of phone and remove battery, you should now se your SIM, held in place by a carrier. Simply slide out the SIM.. & replace correctly orientated into the new phone's SIM carrier. Always power ya unit OFF. B4 doing anything.

I have an LGL75C with new sim card and cannot switch apps from phone memory to sim card

Do you mean from internal memory to SD card? Some apps can not be moved to SD cards. Also if you replaced your sim card the apps are on the old card. You would have to backup your apps from the old sim card to the external SD card then re-install them. Some cell providers have online back up that you can use.Good luck.

When I switch On my phone it says "Sim card not valid". And its not taking the Sim Card. But without the sim card its perfect. My IMEI is 359849016183862. Please help me...

Hi, what might be the possible cause of the problem is either the Sim card your using on the phone or the Sim tray where the Sim card is inserted in the phone.

You can use the Sim card in another phone to be sure the Sim card is working properly.

After that, if the Sim card works,That means that Sim tray is damaged and will need to be replaced.

Have a nice day.

Can't read sim card

Have you used this SIM card in another phone?

Some cell phones have trouble reading SIM cards that have been used in other phones. (Example: The Samsung Jack may not be able to read a SIM card that has been used in a previous Samsung BlackJack model.) I run in to this problem almost daily with my customers.

Your HTC phone probably has the same problem. To correct it, you'll need to purchase a new SIM card (you can get one on eBay for the least amount of money) and contact your cellular provider. Tell them you have a defective SIM - that you purchased a new SIM card and you need your account switched to the new SIM card.

After you give them your new SIM card number, it will take about 15 seconds and the new SIM will be ready to use in your HTC TyTN.

Phone does not start with sim card on it

Be sure you have SIM card in right. Look at contacts on SIM then allign them with SIM Contacts on the phone.

If this doesn't work, then SIM card itself is highly suspicious. Try it in another phone.

LG Chocolate KG800 phone can not send or receive picture messages!!!!

i suggest that you get back in touch with vodaphone and inform them that you cannot recieve pictures as the phone must not be set up in the sim card to recieve them that is why it's telling you to go to their website to view them, insist it's not the phone because all it takes is a text sim update from vodaphone.
