Movies stop in the middle of the show.?? i have cleaned eye with a cd cleaner.what else can i do??ge5805p digital 5 cd player.

If it stops at the same time on every DVD, there's probably something binding the laser sled so it can't move past that point.

If it's just one particular DVD, there's a defect on the DVD. If it is a light scratch or scuff, you may be able to polish it out with a tiny amount of Crest Tartar Control toothpaste and a large drop of water on your fingertip (rub gently, don't scrub!). If it is contamination, wash the disc with dish soap and water, and pat it dry with a facial tissue. It's also possible that the defect is in the data record on the DVD, but in that case you would never have been able to see the rest of the movie.

Need codes for a ge remot to work on a philips dvd player

If you can't find a code then you should be able to do it manually with the device pointed at the DVD player. 1. turn on the DVD player 2. press setup on the remote (underneath on/off) till red light stays on then take finger off the button 3. press and quickly release device button (in your case VCR or DVD whatever the remote says) the red indicator blinks off once 4. press the on/off button (up to 300 times) until the DVD player turns off the red light blinks off with each button press 5. press and release enter to install code
This should work! -Joe

Hook this dvd player to an hdtv

You are confused regarding how to connect your DVD player to your Samsung TV. There is no such thing as "5 composit hookups". Your DVD player most likely has right audio (commonly red), left audio (commonly white), and video (commonly yellow) outputs which should be connected to corresponding inputs on the rear of your TV.

Vertical roll

I get Vertical roll on my Apex AD1000 DVD player and need a schematic. I don't know where to get a schematic but I have the necessary test equipment to troubleshoot the problem. Do you know where to get a schematic or know what causes the vertical roll problem?

Program the setup menu screen to NTSC instead of "PAL" or "Auto"

Dvd player is completely dead.

First thing to check is the power cord with it unpluged. Do you get a resistance there or is it open?? If its no reading at all then the power transformer or fuse or current limiter resistor is open. If you do get a reading then you know your power transformer primary is good. Next measure the AC volts comming from the secondary of the transformer. AC volts? Good! Now Find pin 1 or the end pins on the microprocessor. 5 volts present?? No theres your problem get a schematic and troubleshoot the power supply. Yes 5 volts? Measure the display any volts on it?? Ok im sure by now your gonna say no to one of these and like I said get a schematic and conferm all the voltages are present in the power supply. Most common dead problem in dvd/cd players is the power supply ie transformer, regulator, ic, ect, ect. Good Luck
