Question about Canon ZR200 Mini DV Digital Camcorder

1 Answer

Canon ZR200 camcorder

My camera is almost new, only a little more than a year and I take very good care of this little camera. While I was filming in the house I noticed an unusual sound, I filmed for a few more seconds and stopped, I tried to replay the tape and it made the same noise and didn't replay. I turned it off and when I turned it on again it the LCD showed a red message "remove cassette" and it shut off almost immediately after that. I removed the battery and the tape then tried another tape and used eletrical cable w/o the battery but the same thing happened. I have no clue why this is happening and what to do to fix it, I showed it to a friend that knows more than me and he asked me to buy a cleaning tape and give it a try, but I can't find the item. Please help me! Thank you very very much for reading my e-mail. Mrs Yaky Fernandez

it is the motor that responsible for moving of the tape....if you can open your camera check the small fuse located at the power supply section and have a mark of letter H and N ....just follow the battery connection or the dc input of the camera...

My Polaroid AutoFocus 660 burns all my pictures, why? (I have tried using new film, it's not the film)

Burns?? could it be that what your seeing is a "corona" (brown ,with white and orange ) if so I bet your film compartment is letting in light , this happens on vintage equipment because they used velour type material as seal on film door and other places and it drys out over time and allows light in

also is your shutter working properly ??(clik don't mean working) a mt camera with film door open shown toward light source shouldn't allow light thru , wouldn't be the first vintage shutter that ive ever heard of sticking

I have a JVC JY-HD10U video camera and it is from a surplus auction house. My problem is the unit displays light sources as green blobs or lines, and everything else is black. I know its not a problem...

Okay. One of my higher end Video camera's got the same problem after I filmed a gorgeous sunset for several minutes. Pointing at the sun for the extended time fried the camera lens and the sensors. (I knew better, but the beauty of the sunset made me a little crazy, and I just kept filming it.)

I called the camera company (in my case it's Sony), sent it in, and they are fixing and refurbishing the camera. It will be in "like new" condition when it comes back. The repair for mine is over $200 (closer to $300, actually).. but is well worth the investment, and I expect to have good performance from it for several more years, as opposed to spending a few thousand to replace it.

I got a Polaroid OneStep 600 Flash Close-Up, it looks like it's never been used. How do I know what film it will take, and where can I buy it?

Polaroid Stopped making the film about 2 years ago. You can still find some film out of New York and Amazon, some reviews are good, some are saying the filme is not good or out of date. Find a reputable dealer. New polaoid or a new "polaroid" product may be coming out sometime soon, see http://www.the-impossible-project.com/

Sx-70 is Not Ejecting FIlm When Taking Picture

Possible you got a bad film cassette. In the original Polaroid camera packs they had batteries which actually powered the whole camera. The batteries may be dead or not have much charge in them. They are good for a couple years and as you indicate the expiration is up in another month... Good luck

I found an old poloroid instant camera and I thing

The battery comes in the same package of the film, altough there's no new film been mada AT ALL. If you find one buy as much as you can. There's no battery and no where to put it besides with the film.

Minolta X-300s film loading problem

Hi -- yes if you cannot advance the transport mechanism ( and so cannot load the film ) this is because shutter is not working ! This a very common problem and is due to leaking capacitor ( 220 microF ) situated on the botttom of the camera. Remove bottom cover and replace the capacitor . You should be able now to release shutter and load your film.

Help!! 10-year old Accura Zoom 80 film camera is taking blurry photos all of a sudden

you should be able to place your hand in front of the auto focus window while looking in front of camera (be careful not to blind yourself with the flash) you should notice the lens moving sightly as if to focus. The best way though is to actually shoot a roll through it. Do not shoot a wedding or anything of real importance...the cost of a roll of film and develop is worth piece of mind.

Check your mirror lock up switch. This function is used for long exposures locking the mirror in the up position to reduce vibration before the shutter is released, but you will not be able to use the view finder.

Nikon N70 film recognition problem

Check the little gold DX contacts inside the film chamber. If they are bent, try to straighten them (Carefully they can be brittle) If they are stright, try cleaning them with a VERY LITTLE amount of denatured alcohol. If all this fails to help, take it into Nikon.
