Service manual Dumps load of toner about 1" wide along bottom of page.

A few questions:
- Did this problem just start?

- Was there a paper jam and when the paper was dislodged the next few sheets were streaked? Running a few more pages usually clears this.

- Is this a new toner cartridge? Did you just change the cartridge? Are you low on toner? Try removing the cartridge and gently rocking it back and forth, side to side. This will distribute the toner more evenly.

- Is this a heavier weight paper then previously used? Try going back to the old weight and see if the problem continues.

Have you tried a new toner cartridge? There is a couple possible culprits.

You probably have a bad toner cartridge.

Its on the rear bottom right, I believe there is two screws, remove the panel and take out the bottle and empty it. After replacing the waste toner case or removing the waste toner from the case, clear the toner counter in service mode as follows:

To get into service mode, hit additional functions[*] 2&8 follow by additional functions[*] again. [Select [COPIER> Counter> MISC> WST-TNR], press "C" (Clear key) to clear the counter, and turn the power OFF/ON.

You can also change the detection level as follows:

The waste toner detection timing is determined by the total page counts specified in service mode below:

1. Page counts until the warning message is indicated
2. Page counts between the warning message and E013 indication
Field Remedy

Follow the steps below if you want to change these page counts:
1. Page counts until the warning message is indicated
In service mode [COPIER> Adjust> MISC> WT-FL-LM], select any number from "0" through "4".
0: 80,000 / 1: 140,000 / 2: 210,000 (default) / 3: 320,000 / 4: 460,000

2. Page counts between the warning message and E013 indication
In service mode [COPIER> Adjust> MISC> WT-ER-LV], select any number from "0" though "3".
0: 1 / 1: 20,000 / 2: 40,000 (default) / 3: 60,000

Here is a list of possibilities.

1. The scanner glass is very dirty on one side. (the area the paper paasses over.)

2. The laser scanner lens is dirty on one side

3. Look in the bottom of the machine and locate any mirrors and clean with a dry soft cloth.
You will need to remove the drum and toner to do this.

The most common reason is the toner. Replace the toner with another. Use a Dell toner, if possible.

Cleaned the pickup roller (pull out the toner cartridge - it's the large 1" wide roller at the back) with a little 91% isopropyl alcohol ($2.50 at the drug store), The printer feeds perfectly now.
If this didn't work, then Samsung tech support suggested replacing the pickup roller assembly which is available at www.samsungparts.com ($6.95) along with a service manual ($28). But, fortunately, it wasn't necessary.

This is more than likely down to the upper roller in the fuser assembly. It's the heat roller at the back of the printer. The upper roller wears so paper dust and toner stick to the roller which then can get deposited back on to the page.

What ever color the line is you need to replace that photoconductor unit. They can be ordered from a Ricoh dealer and come with instructions for installing.

you have a weak photo drum or dirty corona wire take drum assy out and spray metal grid above drum suface with canned air until free of toner dust(take outside to prevent toner dust from getting on carpet or household ) items.

After cleaning reinstall drum and run printer.
