I have the GC-1020 Element mp3 player..i have had it for 2 months. All of a sudden i can only hear the music out of one ear of my ear buds,i have tried my earbuds on something else and they work fine..why won't sound come through both ears anymore?
I had the same problem. the stereo mini jack connection to the circuit board of the mp3 player is broken or loose. I jiggled the jack around and the sound came back into both ears but that only worked for a little while and is annoying. Basically, unless you can re-solder the mini jack to the circuit board, or get someone to do it for you, your player is now just a flash drive.
My ilo model number mp-556 suddenly stopped working so I put in a new battery and all I could get out of it was a loading screen. I did some researching online and came up with this post http://www.fixya.com/support/t202851-ilo_turn I followed what he said and it worked.
1) Disconnect from computer, turn it off, hold in volume + button and reconnect it to your computer - continue holding volume + until the Found Hardware Wizard comes up. 2)
REFORMAT FOR WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER - Erases Everything: Connect your iLo player to the computer and open Windows Media Player. Click on the Sync tab. Pull down the drop down menu underneath the Sync tab by moving your cursor over the Sync tab and left clicking on the little black arrow underneath the Sync tab. Highlight "ILO 2GB" (wording may vary slightly), and then select "Format." - this should erase everything, and give you a fresh start.
