My Tv is fairly old, I'd say around 10-12 years old. There was a recent snow storm and my cable and internet went out. When the cable and internet came back on.... my TV went out and now the timer light keeps blinking on and off. The TV hasn't come since earlier in the day. PLEASE HELP!

    Thanks, Kay.

I have worked on many JVCs with similiar problems. I found in most cases the Horizontal Output Transistor was burned out or the Flyback trasformer was bad ( or both ). Also a likley problem is cold solder joints in the power supply section ( start up trasformer is a good place to start ) and also check the resistors connected to the start up circuit. Anyway, the problem seems to normally be in the horizontal section or cold solder joints in the power supply. Good Luck

Is there not a code that you can put in for the sleep mode to make it go off?

The flashing re light is trying to tell you what is wrong! It will flash 2 to 9 times and you need to count the flashes and then refer to the troubleshooting chart on page 27 of your owners manual.

To me it sounds like your pump loses it prime some I would suspect a leak on the suction side of the system.

Try the blinking light repair kit from http://www.tvrepairkits.com/xcart/home.php?cat=2658 . This kit has fuses and capacitors that are designed for your TV.

The timmer light continues to blink. The TV will not turn on. This is after a power outtage. I have disconnected all the inputs and tried to reset>

Mitsubishi had a bad problem with capacitors going bad in there system control modules. Unless you like big CHINESE PUZZLES, best leave this one to a pro.
