Laptops not so great for playing games. But more than that is the fact that Medieval Two requires 128MB Hardware Accelerated video card with Shader 1 support and the latest drivers. The Inspiron 8500 only come with 64MB video ram if running Nvidia or 32MB for ATI.

Unsupported pixel shader version detected.2.0 what does dis mean im having a graphic card Nvidia FX5200 what to do i want to play the game

Hi,
This message might mean that the game requires a pixel shader more than 2.0 as the graphic card you have, got pixel shader version 2.0. A pixel shader is a type of program often used with games which allows your card to perform per-pixel effects meaning more pixels per second which increases the quality of the game. In this case Devil May Cry 4 uses high graphics and therefore a higher version of shader. You might wanna upgrade your card to Nvidia 8600gt or more to get better performance.
Hope this is helpful

Medieval lords not running

Hello wilsonpaul74

As far as I know, there isn't a patch for Windows 7. Have you tried running it in compatibility mode? There are two ways to do this:

OPTION 1 - TROUBLESHOOT COMPATIBILITY

1. Right click on the programs shortcut, .EXE file, or installation program, and click on Troubleshoot compatibility. N.B. You will not have the Troubleshoot compatibility option available for pinned items in the Start Menu or on the Task Bar.

2. The wizard will now give you a list of options to choose from. Try each individual option, following the on-screen instructions.

If this doesn't work, you can try the following option.

OPTION 2 - THROUGH THE PROPERTIES PAGE

1. Right click on the programs shortcut, .EXE file, or installation program.

2. Click on Properties.

3. Click on the Compatibility tab.

4. Check the Run this program in compatibility mode for box.

5. Click on the drop-down menu arrow, and select which version of Windows the game was made for. N.B. Always pick the latest Windows version the game was made for a better chance of it running properly.

I hope this helps. If you require further assistance, please don't hesitate to ask.

Pixel shader

A pixel shader computes color and other attributes of each pixel. Pixel shaders range from always outputting the same color, to applying a lighting value, to doing bump mapping, shadows, specular highlights, translucency and other phenomena. A pixel shader alone cannot produce very complex effects, because it operates only on a single pixel, without knowledge of a scene's geometry or of neighboring pixels. A pixel shader is a computation kernel function. Pixel shaders can alter the depth of the pixel (for Z-buffering), or output more than one color if multiple render targets are active

Graphics card

Unfortunately, it sounds like you will need a new graphics card to run that game. Pixel shaders are built into the graphic card hardware and there is no way to download or install them. According to the games system requirements you need a 100% compatible Directx 9.0C card. If you post the make and model of your computer(or motherboard) I could recommend a card for you.

Nvidia GeForce4 MX440SE 128 MB No pixel shader

Run the test below to see what you need to run it.

pixel shader is built into the card so therefore a better card is required to play the game.
