Repair dvd and vcr

Our Go Video DVD - VCR . When we put a dvd in it runs until BAD DISK appears, then it does not play. The same thing happens with our vcr. We have used the cleaner with no help. Could you please advise us what to do now. Thanks Nancy Mullins

Have you tried cleaning yourself. Meaning a soft cloth with some type of cleaning fluid for lenses. Blow to dry. Then try again

Symphonic dvd/vcr player

1) you must clean the DVD player, put a clean disk , if you do not have buy it in radio shack.
2) after cleaning if the process do not resolve the problem you must test the following.
3) clean the wires from corrosion +terminal, test the wires from video if is broken or break, repair or replace.
4) if this is o.k
5) test the power supply the voltage for digital is +5Vdc, for Video +15-15vdc. IF this missing repair the power supply.
6) test the VCC in microcontroller.
7) test the OPU optical pick up this contain lasser beam, must read the TOC, if not replace the OPU
8) Test the servomechanism motors a) search b) track c) sledg d) CLV) If there are missing replace or repair.
9) IF you can not resolve this electronic problem go to the repair shop TV for fix. it.
see the block diagram.tight any wires connector very WELL.AND CLEAN WITH CONTACTS CLEANER.

Model LGXBR446 VCR/DVD Recorder, Have to go input on the TV to get the unit to Play, Does not play Automatically when turned on an disk or VCR inserted, Also the color is not correct

I think I know what the "skin tones blue" problem is-you probabaly have the composite video(for the old video-on-one-cord format) connected to the blue of the component video input.(component video is the red/blue green RCA type connectors).

My dvd won't play. every dvd i put in, it says bad disc. the vcr works fine. is it time for a new system. i tried a head cleaner and it says bad disc

Hello,
Not necessarily time for a new one. I would give the DVD player a good cleaning before you consider a new unit. A good cleaning disk with some little bristles on it. Run it through three full times. DVD players are far more sensitive than VCRs and have to be cleaned even two weeks or so. When they get real dirty it can take some fooling with to get the DVD player to even accept the cleaning disk. But if it just won't accept the cleaning disk and you can't watch a DVD in it then it's time for a new one. I had a DVD player one time that took an hour of fooling around with before it got cleaned good enough to play DVDs. Worked for a couple years afterward.

Yes,read ur manual intructional book how to hook up the tv, VCR/DVD sides togother so it all link up.Play a VCR tape one side and record a DVD disc another side.

DVD Player doesn't work on DRC6355N VCR/DVD Combo

With most dvd/vcr combo units there is separate wiring. When I use my emerson combo unit I have it wired that I have to be on different inputs on my tv to view a dvd and a vhs. On some units the vcr portion is wired via a regular cable line, while the dvd portion is wired with the yellow, red, and white component cable. Try inserting a dvd and scrolling through your tv inputs until you find the picture or check your wiring to ensure nothing has come loose. If that has no result you could try wiring it differently if possible to eliminate that as a possibility.

Magnavox zv427mg9 sound problem - VCR/DVD combo connected to a Vizio VW42LFHD TV. After some playing around we got the DVD running OK. We can see video and hear the audio. However, the VCR does not play...

sr you can disconect hdmi cable and use a litle speaker and check for audio in rca cables output , when you put your vcr play you can have audio in rca red cable and rca white cable i think when you put hdmi your loose in rca the audio , remember in hdmi you have audio and video , if you dont have audio in vcr the audio head are bad thias is used only in vcr mode. good luck

Problem with dvd player in combo curtis dvd vcr

try to clean the lens with a cd/dvd cleaner available at your local stores. just insert the cleaning disk and wait until it's done. hope this helps!

Dvd loading

mine kinda has the same problem but it only happens with one movie Hairspray but it doesn't say error it just says loading for hours until i restart this system in order to get the DVD out. Need Help!!

Tcl 58P638K SWITCHES OFF Tcl 58" takes a while to change channels and every so often freezes then switches off ,have to turn it off at the wall ,wait then switch on again.Only had it since Jan 2023 as it was a replacement for the previous TV we ordered in May 2022 .

stairmaster 4000 won't turn on. It has a reset box attached. The cord to an outlet runs out from that box. I press in the long needle like red plastic button. The red light on the rest box turns on (red light), but only stays on for a minute, then shuts off. No power goes to the machine even for that one minute. I would guess a fuse was blown, but I am just guessing... and I do not know where this fuse would be, even if it had one.
