Frigidaire dryer a few minutes ago, my dryer decided it won't turn on! I've been using today and it was drying just fine....but pushing the start button now gives me nothing. If I put my ear down to the button and listen I can hear something barely buzzing, but I've checked everything, breakers, plug is fine, it's on the right setting, (I've tried several) and no turning on.....puzzling...it's about 8 years old...any ideas?

There is a switch under the lid,Look for a slot onder where the lid rests on the dryer,there is an actuator under there where the dryer lid when shut should avtivate,this switch is either bent out of place,or the little pin that hits it when shut is missing or broke off.

Hi laylabetes - Answering your question, there isn't a way to actually CLEAN the control panel. Depending on an actual diagnose from a professional, the part would need replacing or if possible repair. However, if your model is electric, turns and there is no heat, it could possibly be a blown fuse. There are two house fuses that supply voltage to your dryer circuit in your fuse box. If one of the two is blown, the dryer may turn but will not heat. Check and replace fuse in fuse box if necessary. Please feel free to reconnect if this does not resolve your issue - Best, Chris

Splendide 2000S Washer/dryer won't wash/dry. Noise then stops, then dial clicks around endlessly.

sounds very much like the bearing has seized on the drum.
can you turn it by hand?
I'm betting it's either stuck or REALLY stiff

Bosch Axxis WTE86300US turns itself off after ten minutes, won't turn back on for a few minutes after that

I would bet you have a bad sensor. There are a couple of sensors that monitor heat. When it gets too hot they shut it down as a safety precaution. Once it is cool enough it will start up again.

My 1999 Buick Park Ave started hesitating and the CEL would flash. I would back off the accelerator and it would smooth out and the light would go off. About a month ago the car died while I was driving it...

Have you tried the reset method? Turn key to the ON position and leave it there for 10 minutes, or until the security light goes off. Then turn key to off, and back to on and start-see if it starts after letting it sit for a few minutes like that with the key in the on position.

Dryer lights works, but when the start button is pushed the drum does not spin. the timer shows the minutes counting off, but no spinning. the dryer worked yesterday, but no today. dryer is a duet...

I am having the same problem. Dried towels last night. This morning, I loaded it, turned it on, it did not lock the door or start drying (spinning) but the timer started counting down. I pressed Cancel twice, unplugged it for a few minutes then tried again. Problem still exists. Any suggestions?

LEQ2152ES 2005 dryer shuts off when start us pushed

The belt can be replaced as follows.
1 remove top and front of dryer shell
2 belt goes around drum around motor pully then under tentioner wheel
3 replace front and top of dryer
(top pops off use a slotted screw driver)
