Question about Sony KV-27V42 27" TV
9 times out of 10 this is because something is not set right. On the remote look for a button labeled MTS. Press it while aiming at the TV and you should see the words MAIN, MONO and SAP as you continue pressing MTS. If the set is on SAP and you send in a signal without the Secondary Audio Program present, the set has no audio at all. This usually happens when someone inadvertantly hits the MTS button on the remote without realizing it. Also be sure to go into the menu, navigate to the audio page and make sure the speakers are set to ON.

Thanks for your information. My first thought was also something wrong with the setup, but I had tried everything include the MTS and Speaker ON, and there still no sound. Looks like something on the sound IC is bad.
