SOURCE: WS-110 memory full but no files
well, i resolved this myself by going to the sub-menu, and formatting
the recorder to its original state. thankfully, i backed up the files
on my computer first, so i didn't lose any data, although i did have to
go in and re-set all my preferences on the recorder.
lesson: don't MOVE files from recorder to computer. copy them instead,
and do the actual erasing from the physical recorder itself.
i don't know if this was the most elegant solution, but at least it did get my recorder up and running again. i'd love to hear if there is a better resolution out there.

Are you trying to record while it is "locked"? I believe you can lock the whole device so you can't accidentally press a button. Are you familiar with this? Let me know if you need help figuring out if it's locked or not, I am trying to research this now.

Check your operators manual....amount of recording time is dependent on "quality" mode of recoring.
If you have lost your manual go to www.olympusamerica.com
