I would assume that your computer has Windows 7 or Vista 64bit Operating System. The default Internet Explorer is 64bit as well. Flash and Java does not work well with 64bit environment. I suggest for you to download and install either Mozilla Firefox or Google Chrome browser.
Better shift to Mozilla Firefox as your web browser. Because M Firefox loads the facebook pages very fast. You won't experience also the time consuming loading up of facebook games. Mozilla Firefox is easy to download from the internet.
check using internet explorer if you are able to go online or not.
if online, then you can uinstall mozilla and reinstall it again.
