I have a lexmark p315 printer. just yesterday i went to print and it isn't reading the card. ( a 216 ) anyway i cleaned it and the card but still to no avail. it keeps saying that error in reading and to insert correctly or that it is damaged. my computer reads it fine and thecamers reads it kay so what is the problem.
According to Lexmark's website, the printer will not read a memory card larger than 256MB. They specifically mentioned xD cards, but not cover the other types of cards. I have a 512MB SD card, and had the same problem, so I would guess it can't read anything over 256.

Has it done this before or is it a new issue, ie have you successfully read from this card before to the printer. Sometimes a card can be incompatable with certain types of printers. Check manual to see if compatable. If it has read it before, you may need to completely unplug all usb cables and cords after switching unit off and replugging to reset printer. Make sure all print queues are cancelled. Try again. If no better, try uninstalling and reinstalling printer.

hatinLexmark seems to be correct if other solutions did not help. Sometimes certain printers are not compatible with certain softwares. The solution obviously to obtain a compatible card, or try to obatin compatible drivers from manufacturers site and try this. Did you try unisntalling driver for it and reinstalling it (the card) most software has drivers. Good luck.
