Steam not frothing properly (very weak output)

Hi, I have a Saeco Royal Digital Plus espresso maker and it is putting out very weak steam for frothing the milk. The hot water comes out strong and the espresso function works fine too. I just decalcified the machine and that didn't help the problem. Any suggestions as to the problem? Thanks in advance.

Hi,

It can be the electric magnet valve that has to be replaced.

Why won't machine steam or froth milk?

Probably the steam outlet tube from the boiler is blocked with the calcium bits which doesn't dissolved completely. Put descaling solution in water tank and do hot water and steam alternatively.(hot descaling).Make sure you put a jug of water to catch the steam( gas) in the steam wand After doing for about 5 mins, do the normal descaling and rinsing. Hope it helps. If not.......you may have to open the machine and removed the blockage physically.

Have a saeco royal digital plus, when trying to steam milk I get a short burst of steam then lots of hot water

If you model has dual boilers then the steam boiler is damaged, if it only has a single boiler, then either the thermostat on the boiler or the cpu board the tell is to pulse steam is damaged.

The steam knob only turns 1/4 turn to left

!/4 turn is all the Magic and Royal machines will do. Don't try to turn it farther or you could break the steam valve.

The mahine does not froth the milk properly anymore

the saeco royal digital dosn't froth milk.... it produces steam, you are the one that froths the milk. is the machine still producing steam? if not you will need to have your steam boiler replaced. This should only be dune by a qualified repairer. If it is still producing steam but it is not as good as it use to be, descalling you machine may help.

I think you have a tube in the machine from the rapid steam boiler that is blocked.

Hi,

I think you have a pipe leakage.

Take of the top and see how it look inside, if you have a leak then it will go down to the power button and you will have a short circuit.
