Question about Koiiler XM-6666W Car Audio Amplifier

Amp not getting any power after replacing deck.

I have a koiiler amp with a 350 watt sub, but once I switched out the deck for a newer one, the amp does not power on anymore. I tried tweaking the subwoofer options in my deck but it never seems to turn back on. I heard there was a trick you needed to do for it to power on again. I checked my grounds and connections and all are solid. It has happened before, and my cousin took the car and fixed it without telling me how he did it.

If the amp doesn't power on at all after switching the deck, the most likely problem is the remote turn-on wire. (The subwoofer options might prevent sound from reaching the amp, but it would still switch on). Where is the remote wire from the amplifier connected at the back of the new deck?

Can i use a 300 watt amp for 2, 800 watt woofers

yes, but you would not get the same performance as you would if you gave them the suggested power. I have found that it is always better to use a more powerful amp than your subs are rated for (as long as it is clean, high quality, low distortion power). I have had the best luck with name brand amps (kicker, rockford fosgate, phoenix gold,etc...). I hope this will be helpful to you.

Not getting any output from subwoofer, all connections are right, everything is on.

DOUBLE CHECK YOUR RCA CABLES. MAKE SURE THEY R GOOD & THAT THIER IN THE RIGHT SPOT ON THE AMP AND RADIO DECK.IF YOUR LIGHTS COME ON. THEN TRY THIS........ IF THAT DOES NOT WORK. CHECK TO SEE IF YOUR SUBS R CONN IN THE SUB BOX.IT COULD B SOMETHING THAT SMALL

is ground on capacitor hooked up to gnd on amplifier ? if so it could be ya problem . ground cap to chassis and amp to chassis. try amp WITHOUT CAP and see what happens . Cap may also need charging with a resistor first . I'd remove cap(for now ) and retest amp for normal operation. Go from there.

Amplifier For Powering Sony Xplod xs-l121p5

Pump the brakes!
You need to know the RMS power rating of the sub you are powering.
Dont exceed the RMS power rating of the sub by more than 25%.
If you see a peak power rating on either the sub or the amp, ignor it, means nothing. Always compare RMS ratings.
Example: a Sony 12" Xplod sub, boasting 1200 watts, will only handle, 350 watts RMS, so the amp you choose to power the sub should be 350 watts RMS as well, and should not exceed more than 25% of the RMS power handling (487.5 watts).
Bottom line, know your RMS numbers, not Peak.

Infinity 1211a @ 2 Ohms

Hello monkey_flea, Your subs will share the amp output. And if you are not careful, you'll end up blowing them. The amp puts out 1300 watts RMS at 2ohms, the subs have an RMS power range of from 75-350 watts, and you'll be driving them with 650 watts each. A better power match would be to series the subs to present an 8ohm final load. This will reduce the output power to a level the subs can handle. Or you could buy 2 more 12.1's and connect them series-parallel for a 4ohm load and each sub would still be getting 325 watts RMS, just about the maximum they are rated to handle. Hope this helps.

Need help in wiring speakers to amp.

The right speaker will connect to the R+ and R- terminals and the left speaker will connect to the L+ and L- terminals. Only one speaker per connection. If both speakers are not exactly the same brand, part number, size, etc. then they may NOT sound the same. Be sure to watch the polarity of the speakers so they don't interfere with each other. I.E. speaker + to amp + etc. Good luck.
