I have a small problem. Just this morning all my settings and data in my Qtek 1020 PDA phone got lost, including my GPRS settings. Now, I can't log into GPRS. My connection is BPL mobile. I have set the proxy server setting to "www.bplgprs.com". But when I am selecting "Connect to GPRS", the system is giving a message that no answer is available from the modem. Please help me to set up my GPRS settings properly. My name is Aniruddha Roy. I can be contacted in my no. 09324824220 / [email protected]

In connections, create a new connection
my isp>add a new modem conn>connection name (whatever)>modem : cellular line(gprs)>access point : bplgprs.com (case sensitive)>user name: bplmobile>password: blank>advanced>servers> use specific server : DNS: 18.104.22.168> alter DNS : 22.214.171.124 >OK

Some network provider activate your gprs setting on your phone. They send you a link and the settings to activate your gprs to their network. Try calling your network provider regarding their gprs settings. They can activate it too just by asking your phone model.
On your handset you can also manually activate your packet data so you can surf the net. Hope that this small info helped you..have a good day..!!
HTC Touch2 will detect automatic, just try to turn on data connection, after connection success plz makevur devices auto select _by goto sitting>connection>connection>setup my proxy server> modem>select which u want.....vote plz
Before you can use GPRS technology, contact your
network operator or service provider for availability of and
subscription to the GPRS service. Save the GPRS settings
for each of the applications used over GPRS. For
information on pricing, contact your network operator or
How to activate GPRS steps:
Select Menu > Settings > Connectivity > Packet data >
Packet data connection. Select Always online to set the
phone to automatically register to a GPRS network when
you switch the phone on. Select When needed, and the
GPRS registration and connection are established when
an application using GPRS needs it and closed when you
end the application.
To get the GPRS settings of your phone you must contact your Phone provider. They are the ones that can provide you with them because they are provider specific. If you need further assistance please message me.
