I hope you find this helpful, I work for a cell phone company called MetroPCS and I have access to the programming codes and such. You can try to perform a master reset on the phone.
(note a master reset will cause you to lose all pictures and ring tones, however you will get to keep your contacts)
The first thing to do is with the phone in standby mode press the menu button (left soft key) and the press the 9 key for settings followed by the 5 key for phone settings and the finally 4 for security.
Next the "enter code" prompt should appear allowing you to enter the lock code, which is by default the last 4 digits of your telephone. If not that then try 1234.
That screen will disappear then the security menu will appear allowing you to press 4 to do the master reset, you should then select yes with the left soft key.
Hope you find that useful.

hi sometimes the ringtones from mthe card will go to the phone memory but this is not the problem.
the ring tones are small in size.
each program have to be set card memory or phone memory.
the picture or video is the biggest memory "eating"
i think this is your broblem you have to move all your picture and videos to the card from the phone and than set the phone to use the card for picture and video.
go to the folder where in the memory card where your recieved file content is saved then...search for the rintone of ur choice ...press options...select use as ringtone...!
First of all, the ringtone can only be a maximum of 300 KB which is about 20 seconds long. If the ringtone is larger than this, than it can't be used as a ringtone. After having the ringtone on the phone, you can go to my pictures and videos, and then click on the tab in the upper left corner and go to my documents and my ringtones. This should be where the ringtones are stored on the phone. You can find the ringtone on the phone and copy and paste it to this spot, or you can simply drag and drop the ringtone from your computer to this location if it is hooked up via USB. (but, the phone will not work on the computer until the installation cd is used that came with the phone.
your phone memory is low and it can't hold already the file that you are trying to save..
i suggest you to transfer all files that you want and save to memory card.
select the picture that you want and move it to memory folder.
or go to phone settings and change directly your phone memory to card memory settings.
hi, do you have an extra mem card in the phone if you have then move some data to this as the phone dont use the memory on card unless you put stuff their yourself, so the phone will say mem full even if memory card is empty so try this first. 1. delete any messages in inbox/outbox/sent messages as these will take up mem 2. delete any old phone numbers/pictures/screen savers that you dont use. 3. the best way to free up loads of memory is by deleting all of the free ringtones you got with the phone most of the free ones you will never use so i deleted all of these and just kept the ringtones i used most people never use the free ones you get when buying the phone so doing this will free up loads of room. Also delete any ringtones you have put on their that you never use as the music ringtones can use loads of mem alot more than the standard tones. 4. every time you send a message your phone stores them in sent messages so delete all of these. Once you have done all of this you will find you have loads of free memory. The best thing to do if you have a memory card in your phone is move all the music/music ringtones that you want to keep onto the card doing this means you can still use the ringtones and free up loads of the phones memory. The phone dont take the mem card into acount when its telling you mem full ok so put as much on mem card as you can ok. Let me know how you get on and also if you need further assistance ok
HI
Below is the step by step method of how to delete your ringtones in your Motorola V3:
Here is an easier way to delete the ringtones without much hassle.
1) Upload 1 mp3 rintone to your phone via MPT
2) Set ALL ringtones msg, alert etc, absolutely everything for all styles (obviously excl. silent & vibe) to the uploaded MP3
3) switch your phone off, then on again. This will update the .db files.
4) Using P2K, delete all the rintones, except for the MP3 that you uploaded, do not delete the .db files. Also, do not delete the .bas files as these are the base files for Motomixer. Set all reminders to OFF.
do not EVER delete a ringtone that is currently in use by the phone. If you delete it while it is active, You will NOT be able to get into that particular tone setting.
5) Switch your phone off, then on again.
