LG VX9800 Locked up

Last night I download ringtones off the Verizon website. After completing the webtone download, I was exiting the program. At that time the phone locked up, the Verizon logo came on screen and never left. I removed the battery, replaced it after several hours. Today, I took it to a Verizon dealer - nothing! They said SORRY you'll have to buy a new phone. Please help me resolve this system problem. It should not be this hard to correct this problem. Is there a reset button somewhere? Any help is appreciated.

i have the same problem, finished making a call and put the phone in my pocket... several minutes later, the end call screen was still on. Took the battery out and tried to restart it and the verizon screen poped up and stayed on... havent been able to fix it myself and will get to verizon later...

The phone randomly "freezes." I have tried removing and replacing the battery, leaving it out for a variety of intervals, with no success. Once I power the phone back up, it functions properly until I press a number key. It doesn't seem to matter from which key pay I press a number key. After repeated attempts, with no specific pattern, the phone seems to return to normal function. I have tried charging the battery, not charging the battery, turning it on and off, etc. This phone is too expensive to fail so soon.

    Please help.

To answer the question on the unlock solution. Its the last four digits of the cell phone number assigned to the phone. This is correct unless the security code was changed in the settings.

Does anyone know how to fix my problem? Well it's kind of funny I was studying the buttons on my keyboard when all of a sudden I held the lock button. My cell locked up and said I neded a code to get my phone unlocked. The problem was I don't even think I put a code in the first place how the hell do I get out of lock mode?

Recently download 'fun for mobile' for free ringtones. The ringtone downloads to files, not to my ringtones

Try installing Astro File Manager and then there should be an option to push menu and then Set as Ringtone.

Ringtone for each phone number

I have verizon too and I used to have this phone. You need to go to contacts, and choose the contact you want to put the custom ringtone for. Once you get to the contact you want to add the ringtone for, press edit. Scroll down till it says ringtone, then press "set" and choose from your list of ringtones. Press ok, then press save. This should work. If not, contact verizon because then it would be a software issue :) Hope I've helped you out!

Samsung Juke ringtones

From everything I've heard, this isn't possible. Not sure if it's the Juke or Verizon, but you just can't. They probably want you to buy ringtones so they don't let you. I'm looking for a workaround myself, but the closest solution I've found is to either send an email to [email protected] with an mp3 as an attachment, or apparently you can try a program called BitPim which will do it for free, but the process sounds pretty involved. If you plan to go with the program I'd do some research. Google something like "Juke BitPim" and see what comes up.

LG Env Phone and Ringtones

I can Help. First of all, dont pay a cent to verizon, i have had issues with them for a while about overcharges. Anyway...

Download a program called " Bitpim " Its free, or " ImTOO3gp " i got IMToo3gp from " the pirate Bay . com, using a bit torrent, the bitpim is from a site that downloads straight to P.C.

Hook your phone to your P.C. Via Cable. What i did is i bought the verizon package for there VCAST music sync. It has the P.C. Drivers for your phone but there built into the program so you have to install it, but dont actually use the program. once thats installed, hook the phone to the P.C. and you can use Bitpim to download all the data from your phone, the " ImToo3gpp also works but instead of hooking the phone, you take your Micro SD, put it in the bigger holder that should have come with it, get a USB media port that fits the SD card 9 got mine at wallmart for $13. once you connect it, it shows up as another drive on your P.C. like a Pin drive. Then you can covert the music and put the destination folder as the SD's music folder and the program automatically converts it. It pretty sweet and helpull. i was able to drop MP3's and i was able to make ringtones. You have to have a little working knowledge of converting files. The ringtones use MPEG 3 or 4 files and you have to put them in your " MY_SOUNDS" folder that the phone created on the Micro SD, dont drop them in the music folder or youll get ringtones playing in your songs list.

I was able to Make 3gpp2 Files of the ventuire brothers and have movies on my phone also but its tricky.

Hope this helps.
