How to turn the sleep timer off

You obviously don't have a menu button on the set itself. Unplug the unit and remove the back cover, this should expose the info you need unless it was placed on the outside and is now lost. Without TV model it will be difficult to get any helpful assistance. Good luck.

Program timer light blinking

The timer light blinks when the AC power has been disconnected and the clock is not set. This is how the set warns you that it can no longer do timer recordings. Setting the clock and doing an autoprogram will fix it, but both the remote and the remote receiver must be working. If the original remote is not damaged and has good batteries in it but does not work on that set and you cannot get any other universal remote to work, then the remote receiver (the IR "eye") inside the set has failed and needs to be replaced. I have seen many of those little receivers failing recently. If you do not have experience changing electronic parts on small PC boards then have a qualified tech change it for you.
