The car radio code is indicated on many visteon models on a small white sticker inside the glove box. The unlock code will be labeled "Anti-theft radio code".

some cars have security in the radio and if it was turned on when you unhooked the battery the radio probably lost the code. unfortunately you will probably need to take it to a dealer to get the radio unlocked.

Contact the Mercedes Dealership and give them the vin for your car. The radio code will show up on the 'VMI' They may ask you to drive the vehicle in to show proof of ownership but they should get the radio working again for you at no charge. Do not just enter random numbers or you will lock the radio and may have to wait up to 1 hour for it to unlock so that the radio code can be entered again.

Most modern cars have a security code enable for the installed radio/cd players. This is an anti-theft device.

The initial documents given to the owner when the vehicle was purchased lists this code and how to reset it.

If you are second owner/original owner who has lost this information, then, you can approach gmc canyon dealer and they will have this code on their server. Normally a free service (I believe).

The security code is lost from the radio whenever keep alive voltage is removed from the radio. i.e. You disconnected or replace the battery.

To unlock it needs to be left on for an hour, after the hour it will say "code" and you can put your code in. The ignition needs to be on for the hour; otherwise the stereo will turn off after 20-minutes. You have to purchase security code or you can use car radio decoder software to decode your car radio. But better to purchase a security code for this problem. You can purchase your code from radio-code.com by credit or debit card.

Radio lock out codes are security related, and each code is unique to the car and the radio in that car, and that unique code was supplied with the original paper work when the car was delivered to the original owner to discourage theft, so they are not published on the internet, if they were what would be the point?? any thief could get the code after stealing your radio. Contact the dealer for instructions and what info u need to get your cars unique radio code. The dealer will require the serial number off the radio and proof of ownership of the car it came from.

Is this an eclipse radio? If so you set the security with a specific CD you can put that CD back in and it should unlock. The radio is designed to lock if power is lost while in security mode. You may be able to get it unlocked at your local stereo shop but sometimes you need to prove ownership before they will unlock it

look on side of radio
there should say something like security with letter next to it this should be your unlock code for radio
