When I turn on my XBox 360 I have to push the eject button several times before it will open. What can I do?
What you have to do is lightly push the chrome part of the tray in at different points. when it opens you need to pull it out an extra cm because when it was stuck it lost some of the umph. after you pulled it out all the way it shouldn't close automatically. then close lightly help it close by pushing it in as it closes. NOT HARD. then open and close again. should stop it.

Yah, I actually have to hit my 360 to get it to open. It sucks, but until Microsoft updates it's warranty, there's nothing else I can do. (Other than wait for the red ring of death to set in)

Drop you entire Xbox 360 from a distance of around 2cm on a flat surface. It just gets jammed sometimes...

Send it back. microsoft is giving customers a 3 year extra warranty on the units. unless you did something to it, send it back. if you did something to it, you may need to clean it, oil it and make sure it is not getting stuck. if not, then get it repaired, but I am sure you can solve this without having to buy a new disk drive.

Yah, I actually have to hit the top of my 360 to get it to open. It sucks, but until Microsoft updates it's warranty, there's nothing else I can do. (Other than wait for the red ring of death to set in)
mine has the same problem. i posted a solution too.
P.S. ring of death has a lifetime warrenty by microsoft. otherwise it's only a three year warrenty and if you take it in you WILL get a refurbished 360.
