you need to get into the service menu on the tv and adjust some values you can find these values online but i would highly recomend that you get a service centre to look in to this ,
i've done mine my self but if you hit the wrong valuye you could mess the whole tv up there are about three pages full.
hope this helps
It sounds definitely like a faulty power connection via the video cable from the inside. If it blinks a while then turns black then shows the picture, it would have to be that it's not screwed on properly, thus taking more time for it to get a full charge and then properly function. If you still have the warranty, any electric repair/retailer shop can fix it for you.
Hi,
The blinking lights is an indicator of an internal fault.
On some Sony sets, 4 blinks indicate a problem where the video is muted due to a component fault.
Since this involve opening the set and doing electronics diagnosis and possibly component/board replacement, you may be better off seeking the services of a qualified TV repair professional.
Hope this be of assistance/idea. Post back should you need further information.
Good luck and kind regards.
If the TV will not turn on and the red light blinks on the front of the set, it means that the microprocessor has detected a problem in the set and shut the set down. It then blinks the red light a certain number of times, and the number of blinks is the code for why the set has shut off. How many times does the red light blink before repeating?
Check out Ceramic Capacitor C514 by the horiz. output transistor (burned/shorted?)
My question is how do you find the specs of the capacitor and where do you buy one?
My tv does not turn on it just blinks. No sound, no picture.
