This is what Lexmark suggests: To change the language on this printer, do the following: Select the Copy option. Press the Option button thirteen (13) times. You should see Language on the display. Press the arrow button (-) or the (+) button to scroll through the list of languages. Press Select when the required language is displayed on the LCD screen. A student has reset the menu to Russian.

My company uses nothing but HP printers some are connected to the network while others are locally connected to a computer. I have worked with this exact model.

First, the easiest thing to try is to power cycle the printer. Hold down the button to turn off then turn back on. You can also unplug it from its power source then plug back in.

Power cycling this printer should reset the language to default (English) or it will let you select the language when it comes back on. If that doesn't work then you can try to change it using the installed software.

Considering the fact that someone accidentally changed the language, I am assuming this printer is connected directly to a computer that you all have access to and this is not a network printer.

If this is a local printer (connected directly to the computer via USB or parrallel port) then you should have an HP Toolbox app or some other program that allows you to configure software related settings for the device. Open this tool and you should find an option for the language. This may not be available, depending on how the installation was handled (if it was installed using the CD provided by the manufacturer or installed using downloaded drivers).

Try this out and let me know if it helps.
