To refresh your iPod Touch. Hold your Sleep/Wake Button and the Menu Bottom at the same time for 10 seconds. It will close and comes back again with the apple logo. Wait until it starts correct.

If it doesn't, restore your iPod into factory settings.

My ipod is disabled

Plug the iPod USB cable into the bottom of your iPod. Plug the other end of the iPod USB cable into a free USB port on your Mac or PC. Open the iTunes application by using the dock icon on a Mac or the start menu on a PC. Click on the name of your iPod under the "Devices" list in the main iTunes window. Click on the "Sync" button to create a connection between the computer and the iPod. Click on the eject symbol after the syncing process is complete, and then unplug your iPod from the computer. The lock code has been reset; when you go to disable the iPod again, you will be prompted to choose a new four-digit code. hope this helps

Attach a USB connector to the iPod and plug it into a USB connection on a computer for power, or into a stand alone USB charger plugged into a power strip for electrical power. Pick up the iPod. Move the "Hold" switch at the top of the iPod to the "Locked" position so that an orange color appears by the switch. Return the switch to the "Unlocked" position. Repeat this process. Press and hold the "Home" button and the button at the top right corner together if using a fifth generation iPod, iPod Nano, iPod Mini or iPod with a click wheel. Press and hold the "Menu" button and the "Play/Pause" button together if using an iPod Touch. Press and hold the "Menu" button and the "OK" button together if using an older iPod. Continue holding the buttons together until the screen flashes and then displays the iPod name and the Apple logo. Release the buttons. Wait as the iPod resets itself and turns itself back on. Leave the iPod connected to the USB connector so that it can fully charge the battery. Remove the iPod from the USB connector. Navigate to a song using the menu selection and play some music

Ipod touch is disabled and wont let me put in my pass code to unlock it when i get to itunes!

If your iPod touch is locked by a 4-digit passcode, the only way to get past it is to force the unit into restore mode by doing the following:

1. Start iTunes and Plug the iPod touch in to your computer via the sync cable. This could be firewire and/or USB.

2. Hold the sleep/wake button(the button at the top) and the menu button(round button at the bottom) down at the same time. Keep them both pressed until you see the 'restore' screen (an iPod cable and an iTunes disc symbol) on the iPod touch. If the ipod turns off or shows the "Slide to power down", just wait and try again. It takes about 10 seconds. Once the restore screen shows, Release the buttons.

3. Windows should quickly "install driver software" for a few seconds. iTunes should now display the iPod touch, along with a message that the iPod touch is in recovery mode. Click the RESTORE button in iTunes to restore the iPod touch.

Please note that doing this will erase the contents of the iPod touch -- that's how the system is designed to work: a passcode lock is meant to protect the data on the iPod.

I have a apple ipod A1199 my little brother got a hold of it now its in some forien language that i cant read how do i get the menue to read american again?

No problem, you'll just need to do a full reset to restore the language to English.

1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)

2. Press and hold the Menu and Center (Select) buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.

Tip: If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface. Make sure the finger pressing the Select button is not touching any part of the click wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Menu button toward the outside of the click wheel, and not near the center.

If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep. Try resetting the iPod while it is connected to power.

How can I un freeze my i phone? it just does not respond to any thing and I can't even switch it off

HOld the menu button and power button together for 5 sec, if that doesn't reset it, you may have a broken logic board or digitizer and should take it to the apple store. If they won't help you, You can try to replace the part yourself, it is available on any auction website. There is an iPad Repair http://www.portatronics.com service that can fix it for you, but if you're a little tech savy you should use an iPad repair guide that teaches you how to do the repair yourself http://www.portatronics.com/guide

Buttons arn't working

Hi!

Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step until apple logo appears.

If you are having difficulty resetting your iPod, set it on a flat surface.
To reset your iPod
  1. Toggle the Hold switch on and off. (Slide it to Hold, then turn it off again.)
  2. Press and hold the Play/Pause and Menu buttons simultaneously until the Apple/iPod logo appears, about 6 to 8 seconds. You may need to repeat this step.
If the above steps did not work, try connecting iPod to a power adapter and plug the power adapter into an electrical outlet, or connect iPod to your computer. Make sure the computer is turned on and isn't set to go to sleep.
If you are still unable to reset your iPod, use only one finger from one hand to press the Center (Select) button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Menu button.
When you reset iPod all your music and files are saved, but some customized settings may be lost. Date and time are preserved (unless the iPod reset itself because it had no power and then was reconnected to power). Other customized settings, such as Bookmarks, On-The-Go Playlists, Shuffle, Backlight timer, and so forth are preserved from the last time the hard drive turned on.
iPod not responding If your iPod does not respond to these steps, see additional steps in the "iPod troubleshooting basics and service FAQ".
Additional Information Apple releases new versions of the iPod Software Update application from time to time. These later versions may include new functions or improvements to existing features. Learn about updating iPod's software.
