Question about Fisher Washing Machines

Slow water delivery into machine

The water has just started to go really slowly into the washing machine - this used to happen with just the hot water function but now the cold water is really slow. We can't afford to buy a new machine so is there something that we will be able to fix or check to see what the problem is?

Check to see if there's good water volume coming through the hoses attached to the washing machine. If there is, check to see if the screens inside the water-inlet valve are clean. (The water-inlet valve is the device on the washing machine that the fill hoses are attached to.) If they're clean, you probably have a defective water-inlet valve. If so, you should completely replace the valve.

Q - My washer fills slowly with water, what can I do ?
A - Two things could be your problem...
1) - sometimes the screens in the fill valve or inside the ends of the fill hose get clogged up...use a tooth brush to clean them out. Don't forget to shut off the water first before removing the hoses to check for this.
2) - The fill valve itself may not be opening fully = time for a new fill valve.

I have a problem with a fisher and paykel MW512AU washing machine. I turned the machine on as normal, start the load, and everything was fine. After roughly 10 minutes the machine stops doing...

the heating element has an issue
if you say after 10 mins it fails and stops
this indicates two things
the door lock is aok
and the machine fills

next comes heating up the water
some 10 mins into a warm wash

so perhaps the heating element has an issue
or the hardware cant detect it correctly
modern machine detect as they go
however usually but not always a bad element
causes your home electrics tip out...

but as the motor seems to run slow
it could be a sensor or the motor has bad brushes...

MAchine fills slowly. Have cleaned the screens.

Check the solenoid. You can swap the hot and cold water hoses and set the wash for hot but cold will come out. Then you can see if the flow is better. If it is the cold valve isn't opening all the way.

When my Duet washer is not running, it slowly fills with water. This has happened about 3 times.

the most common problem with a slow filling washing machine is a blocked filter
this is located inside the hose usually near the machine.
it this is not blocked
it may be a stuck valve, to test if this is the case connect the hot water and see if that fills quicker.
a short term fix would be to connect both hoses to cold if you can.
If your machine requires hot water to function it may not fill all the way because it will switch off if there is no hot water.
hope this helps.
