My over the air channel list program times are 1 hour behind.

Since daylight saving went into effect, my Samsung LCD tv channel list program times are all off 1 hour. I have changed the TV's clock time but it has no effect on the channel program times when I press the "CHLIST" button on my remote. I use an antenna not cable. All channels are off one hour so I know it's not the time from the broadcast signal. I also have non digital TV's in the house using a digital converter box and the channel guide times are correct. I have checked Sansung's web site to see if there is a firmware upgrade for my TV but there is none.

I submitted this problem, but since have found out how to fix it.
The solution is to select "menu" then "set up" then "plug and play".
Go through the plug and play menu and set the time zone and daylight savings to yes. This fixed the problem on my TV. I don't know why Samsung makes you go through the set up when daylight savings arrives?

I have a Pioneer PDP-4270HD 42" and have the same problem with the TV being off 1 hour. The setup allows me to set the time only if I am not using the EPG provided by TV Guide. The Guide shows the correct TV shows and the correct time but the TV time is set one hour back. This means the if I set the TV to turn to the news at 5:30 on channel 3.1, it will switch to 3.1 at 6:30. The only thing in setting up the TV Guide is my Zip Code which is in the Central Time Zone. This all started on March 8th after the time change. Can not find a firmware update for the TV.

    Any ideas?

SOURCE: Retuning digital TV

You need to use the (what looks like a large sattellite) button to retune your tv.
Some Samsung tv's let you access the button but other models have a "D MENU" button on the remote. Press this button, then scroll down to the icon that looks like a large sattellite. Then scroll across and click on "Auto Store" this will then go through all the available channels

My TV is an hour behind. How do I fix it?

Press the menu key on the remote. Find setup in the list that appears on the screen. Within setup, there is likely a time and date function. If not, you might call your cable service provider who just might walk you through the procedure. Does your cable box show the correct time (if you have such)? You may have some daylight savings time setting in effect.

I have a Westclox, Calander Model 70026. I have set the clock several times to the correct time,(with the time zone at the proper setting) but, after a day or so, the hour reading, reverts back...

It's most likely because of Daylight Saving Time. Your clock receives a signal through the air once a day from the actual atomic clock, much like a cell phone receives the time from your cell phone service provider, and it automatically resets itself to the exact time each time it receives this signal. Remember that the middle of the year (the second Sunday in March until the first Sunday in November in the US) is Daylight Saving Time for much of the United States. The clock has an option that allows you to set whether you are observing Daylight Saving Time or not. If this is set to "off", the time will be one hour behind until Daylight Saving Time ends (November 7th). Make sure this is set properly, and your problem will be solved.

To change the time on a prostar 816 you first need to be at a display set (doesn't matter what the extension number is).
with the handset down, enter #20 the screen should say MMC DISABLED
1) enter in 1 2 3 4 1 # (that enables programming2.gif)
2) enter in #55 the screen should say YYMMDDWHHMM
3) enter in the year, month, day, day of the week, hours and minutes(the day of the week values are 1= mon. 2= tues. etc.)
press # when finished.

My clock went back one hour on Sunday 10/25, need to get it to move ahead one hour.

The clock program for Daylight savings Time is programmed for the old "third Sunday in October" changeover. The new changeover is the first Sunday in November. The program probably cannot be updated. If there is no button or setting to disable automatic change to Daylight Savings Time you can set the time manually and then change it manually to Daylight Savings on November 1 for the time to be correct.

When you want to set the auto clock function to “OFF”,

from the list.

Auto clock setting
Preparation:
You must connect the antenna or cable before connecting
the AC cord to the power source.
Wait 30 minutes with the power turned off, after the

feature to activate.
After the clock is set automatically, you may have to set
the time zone and daylight saving time. (See page 26.)
Press STANDBY/ON to turn on the DVD/VCR after the
auto clock operation completed.
• When shipped from the factory, the “AUTO CLOCK”
option is set to “ON” position.
• If you turn the DVD/VCR on during auto clock
setting, the clock is not set.
• After a power failure or disconnection of the power
plug, the clock setting will be lost. In this case, wait
30 minutes before turning the DVD/VCR on.
• With cable box connection, if the auto clock setting
is unsuccessful, select the PBS channel carrying
the XDS information, then turn the DVD/VCR off.
After 30 minutes, turn the DVD/VCR on.
• If the clock is not set automatically, set the clock
manually.

STANDARD TIME (Time zone)
In the rare event that you live within the broadcast range
of two stations in two different time zones, the DVD/VCR
may recognize the wrong station for the auto clock set.
To correct the situation:
Select “STANDARD TIME” and select the time zone from
the list below.
Selectable time zones and correction times
ATLANTIC: GMT – 4 hours
(GMT: Greenwich Mean Time)
EASTERN: GMT – 5 hours

HAWAII: GMT – 10 hours

set to “AUTOMATIC”.
• After making the auto clock setting, in some cases
the clock may display another time zone. You can
correct the clock by selecting your time zone
setting above.
• When the clock is not set or you set the clock
manually, the time zone setting is not available.
DAYLIGHT SAVING TIME
You can set the clock to daylight saving time automatically
or manually.
To select daylight saving time, select “DAYLIGHT
SAVING TIME” and select “ON”, while to cancel the
daylight saving time, select “OFF”.
ON: For manual setting (forward 1 hour)
OFF: For manual setting (back 1 hour)
AUTOMATIC: For automatic setting (read XDS in
the signal)
Note
• When you want to set daylight saving time, on the
first Sunday in April you set it to “ON”, and on the
last Sunday in October you set it to “OFF”.
• When shipped from the factory, the “DAYLIGHT
SAVING TIME” option is set to “AUTOMATIC”.
• When the clock is not set, the daylight saving time
setting is not available.
• When there is no daylight saving time in your area,
always select “OFF”.
