For a few months now, my Nintendo DS Lite has been "freezing" during gameplay: by this I mean both screens stay at the same picture, there is no sound, and the power light freezes and stops blinking. At first, this only happened with one game, Pokemon Platinum. This game had somehow gotten into mud overnight, and I was not very surprised. Eventually, however, this began to occur with every game. I have not tested GBA games, as I have sold all of the ones I used to own, and I haven't tested the games on another DS because nobody will let me test them, for fear of breaking their own DS. The DS does not freeze when no game is inserted. Is there any way to fix this without replacing the DS? And if there any way to back up the save file of a DS game to another cartridge?
The contacts where the game go got dirty or broken!, u will need to get it repaired
I am not sure about backing up files to another cartridge, but maybe the freezing is about the DS Card Slot.It may be loose, so try not touching the DS Card while playing.
Or there may be a piece of lint in the DS cards or the card slot. if you can see the lint, pick it out carefully with clean tweezers. if you cannot see anything, try asking a mechanic to see the problem.
One more thing: did you spill anything on the DS?
DS lite will play gameboy games but not DS games after loading it says no "there is no DS card loaded"
Try taking the game out and blowing in the slot. you may have some dust or dirt

I have the same problem as posted. This started aprox 2 months ago and just keeps getting worse.
The game would freeze with all the other game and now it won't show anything on the screen it's just a blank screen. Ahh I'm new to this and I appreciate the help.
I once played as you have, Pokemon Platinum, and I woke up my DS from its sleep, but when I turned it on the game just froze, no sound, no glitch, the game was still on.
