All my programs on my acer 5520-5537 stopped working.

I cannot logon and when I go under problems and solutions it states all programs has stopped. I went to systtem restore but now it will not allow me to login to the computer. Please help

On boot up, and at the ACER welcome window, press "Alt" + "F10" to see if the laptop goes into the recovery mode.

create new user inj safe mode with networking take backup of your data which is in old user. to take back up got to c:\user\ ( YOUR USER NAME ). try to login with new user. still if you face same problem go with system restore.

Try performing uninstall from control panel, even if the program is corrupted. Then install it again using the recovery disk or downloading it.

Hi,

Ready for this, goto to start>my pictures and remove all images from that folder except for the samples folder, just create another folder in your documents for these images.

Now start the webcam up again.

Sounds stupid but it works.

Try deleting or moving all pics from the my pictures folder. Worked for me on my aspire 5050.

sounds like youre using vista where live messenger starts up auto and tries to log you on whether you use it or not .if so let it run its course then right click on the icon and disable then reboot
