Sony Cyber-Shot DSC-T33 Flash doesn't work anymore

The flash of my DSC T33 doesn't work anymore, it produce only a small flash on the left of the lamp. Is it only the bulb ? I have contacted Sony's Direct Accessories and Parts Center (DAPC USA), they kindly replied me : Item - ( FLASH UNIT ), 147897212, $35.98 ea. but I'm living in France and can't get this item on this web site ! http://www.sony.com/accessories :( Note: This website will only accept orders being shipped within the USA Could You help me? Best regards

    I bought on Ebay a dsc-t33 for parts at $49+ $35,50 shipping from USA !
    I change the flash unit and that works !
    it's possible to change only the bulb but where to buy it ? !

    I recovered 2 disposable cameras with flash ( Kodak ) but the bulb is to large, must look for others (Fuji...) for next time !
    what do you think about that ?

I just replied your previous question that this problem occurs due to ccd imager chip failure that will be replaced to get live view in camera mode to take fresh pictures.
Local camera repair shop will replace it, let me know if you need part number of ccd imager chip of DSC-T33 camera.

This is due to failure of ccd imager chip in your camera, replace ccd imager chip to get live view in lcd to take fresh pictures.
Let me know if you need ccd imager chip part number.

It's probably faulty CCD. Well know problem with the T33. Contact your local Sony service center, but if they ask too much, you can contact me at [email protected] and I will give you a good price.

Hey, Matt here. You could try getting a cheap broken one off ebay or something. It is unusual for the flash to be the first thing to go so if you got a broken one from ebay the chances are the flash bulb would be good to use. Hope this helps. Matt. Please rate me

Flash on cybershot dsc-t33 doesnt work
Please check Flash Bulb, is it broken or not. if its broken you need to replace it and this requires solder work.
Let me know out come to guide you further.

Be Careful while touching Flash Circuit as it has Very High Voltages and will give SHOCK if capacitor is not discharged properly.

Replaced the CCD imager chip in a Sony DSCT33 camera, but still get nothing. I bought the replacement from an eBay seller. Is there any way to check the replacement chip to see if it's bad too? I've reconnected it several times to see if that may have been the problem. When contacted, the seller said they were out of stock and were quick to refund my money...which leads me to believe the parts was questionable from the beginning.

My cybershot DSC T33 has a black screen when switched on. It will take photos but the pictures come out black. I can view previous pictures no problem. When I turn on the camera, (Sony DSC-T33) it does not show anything and when make a picture, sounds like makes picture but nothing on the screen, in watching mode it can show pictures from the memory card but not those what just make picture... My flash doesn't work. I took the battery out and My flash doesn't work. I took the battery out and held the power down for 30 seconds as instructed by the tech support. That didn't work so I also used the reset button and that didn't work either. Any suggestions?
