You cannot recover bad sectors. Your disc is damaged and the drive has removed the bad sectors from being writable. You need to replace your hard drive asap before it breaks entirely. You're going to lose all your remaining data on the disc if you do not back it up immediately. Good luck, Peter

Hi. This is a typical sign that your hard drive is experiencing a serious failure. I hope you have backup of the most important data on the hard drive. You can try to fix the hard drive using a tool like HDD Regenerator, but the results are not guaranteed. Your best option is to buy a new hard drive & restore the data from backups.

Drive very noisey when starts

are you sure its the drive and not the PSU power supply unit
if your hear it groan struggling to boot up it will be the PSU
you could run the check disk utility
click start run type cmd then type chkdsk/r/f which will scan for and attempt to repair any bad sectors and automatically fix any corrupt files on your hard drive then defragment your hard drive or
go to control panel administrive tools computer management you can right click on the drive select properties tools check now?tick in both boxes to scan for and attempt to repair/recover any bad sectors and automaticall fix any corrupt files

hope this helps

If you're using the original XP version it wasn't able to format the correct size of the hard drives. You need to find a version with Service Pack 2 and boot off that CD in order to format the correct size of the drives. You could also boot off a Vista installation CD and format the correct size.

Bad cluster in hard disk

You must run scandisk utility in windows to fix problem. Go to C: drive >> properties >> tools >> choose error checking >> select automatically fix errors >> then start >>
If proplem persists you must format the C drive there may be less chance of bad sector recovery...
Or contact your manufacturer tech support if your hardisk in warramty period.
