Re: Sharp AL-800 copier
If you check in the unit where the paper first leaves the paper tray, there is a small black lever called a sensor flag that should move freely in and out of a sensor led. Also one or two more inside the machine and where the paper exits the unit.

open all the doors and look for anything including paper dust. It doesn't take a sheet of paper to cause this just a sliver or a spot of dust You can use a clean paint brush to brush anything or a vacuum hose or even a can of compressed air. If that doesn't fix it then you may have a sensor problem which usually means it is time to get a new printer as the sensor will cost as much as a new one (unless covered by warrenty)
Check the machine for a **** or dust glass above the drum.
Check and clean coronas, the wires and shells may be dirty reducing charge.
Run a few white copies, to check of the toner / carrier ratio is low.
First, is the paper being fed at all? If the paper is being fed and jams at the same location then a senor, actuator or switch is bad, out of place or broken. If the device will not clear the jam light, completely power down the device, unplug from wall, let set about 30 sec. to 1 min. and then replug in and see if it reset. If the device did not reset then again a senor, actuator, or switch is out of position ( being held up in the paper path). If the paper does not feed at all then the feed section is the problem. Clean the feed tire (s) the rubber restorer or a high alcohol base cleaner. Listen to hear if the feed tire (s) are even turning. If feed is not turning then it could be clutch, motor or board problem.
if the drum already been scratched out,so there is no solution to repair it,u have to change the drum.before change the drum check the copier glass surface if any dry up material, wipe it with dry cloth.
It could be comming from the paper feed mechanism above the paper tray. Make sure its installed properly. It could be as simple as cleaning the feed tires.
Is this something that has been getting worse or just happen at once? If it just appeared it good be something in the paper tray stopping it from liftting or something behind the paper tray or in the paper path of the copier. If it has been slowly happen try to clean the paper pickup rollers with WD-40 and a rag and clean the rubber only. If that works you done, but if it say's to add paper you may have a broken paper present sensor. The jams could also be the paper feed clutch is worn out. Worse case use the bypass tray. Good Luck!!
Most likely you had a toner cartridge failuer leaving some of the ink and developer in the crevices above the paper feeder and its just trickling onto the paper.
It pretty much needs to have the cartrides taken out and thouroghly vaccumed.
Just takes patience and time to get it all removed.
Dont vacuum the cartridges, but the inside of the machine.
Pull your paper tray out and see if there is toner and developer trickling into it.
