Question about Kodak EasyShare C533 Digital Camera

Black-out I've had my camera for about six months now, since February. It's worked fine, and I never had a problem, until about two weeks ago. Now, when I turn it on, all I see is black. If shaken it shows an image for about two seconds, before it goes black again. Taking pictures doesn't do anything, it's still black. Sometimes I can get an image, but it's grainy and only shows up as blue with light on the main object. It's worked fine up until now. I've changed the batteries a few times, but it didn't do anything. What's wrong?

I have the same problem - my camera stopped working after about six months. The LCD just shows black - some shadows. Everything else works fine - you just cannot take anymore pictures. I was in contact with Wal-Mart where we bought it. They won't take it back or stand behind what they sell - they told us we had to send it in.

AND - Kodak won't guarantee that I won't be charged for anything. AND we cannot find our receipt. So we are stuck with a camera that won't work and two LARGE companies who makes A LOT of money selling stuff that doesn't work and they won't stand behind it. Obvisoulsy this is a manufacturer defect. I would like to find MORE people with the same problem and maybe collectivley we can do something about this.

OSD not working (black screen)

Your 635 will not display the OSD screen through component. You must use either s-video or rca. It won't upconvert the screen menu this route.
I had one up until a week ago. There are two outputs on the back specifically for the OSD screen. I used a separate old 13" TV with s-video to do my setups. Hope this helps.

Mind did the same thing. Try taking out the memory card. If it works after that, you'll have to buy a new memory card.
