Question about Sharp (SHRAM900) All-In-One Laser Printer
It is either in the path of the scanning like the platen glass or if it is a MFP check the little glass strip on top of the glass thats where auto doc feeder scan from, or the imaging drum/toner is bad, or the transfer belt is bad or worn and there could always be a roller causing the marks, or the fuser itself can be bad. there are just too many things that can cause that. is it streaks with no print or is it printed then scrated like streaks?

the optics in the scanner for the auto document feeder is burned out. It can also be just that the optics need cleaning. When you put the paper in the feeder it goes through the machine and is scanned by a little strip of glass not the actual whole glass. it passes through a smaller scanner or just a scanner that stays still while the paper goes by it. If you are technical you can do it youreself but if not i suggest finding a technician and telling him of this problem. If you do feel like cleaning the optics it is just like cleaning a camera lens and you need to use something meant to clean platen glass. You can also use a can of air to clean out the optics of any dirt.

It is a straight fine line, not streaked, almost like someone traced a vertical line with a ruler. If I print from the computer or the glass it is fine. The problem is copying from the feeder slot.
My cartridge dried up and the powdered ink got on a wheel or something because I have streak lines down the right side of the paper. I blow it out with an air hose, installed a new cartridge but the streak lines are still there. Also the lines aren't getting any lighter which you would think they should.
