PUSH TO START/END OF CYCLE SIGNAL The End of Cycle Signal produces an audible sound when the drying cycle is finished. Promptly removing clothes at the end of the cycle reduces wrinkling. Turn the END OF CYCLE SIGNAL knob to select the desired setting (On or Off). Press the PUSH TO START knob to start the dryer.

From the Whirlpool user manual:
(OPTIONAL) Your dryer may have an End Of Cycle Signal. The
signal is helpful when drying items that should be removed
from the dryer as soon as it stops.

On some models, the End of Cycle Signal is fixed.

On other models, the End of Cycle signal is part of the
Start button and is selectable. Turn the PUSH TO START
button to ON or OFF. The signal will sound only if the
selector is set to On.

the pto should be in constant mesh with a gear on the countershaft and be spinning all the time
the pump is connected when the operator moves a switch to allow air to engage a dog from that engaged gear to the pump
when you say win't engage , is the problem that the gears clash and grate when the switch is engaged or the engagement is smooth but it will not drive the pump
In the first instance put your foot on the clutch to stop the countershaft turning so that the dog gets to engage
in the second instance there is a shear pin to the pump drive that is fitted to prevent the destruction of the gear box if the pump should seize for any reason
Take it to an accredited shop that handles pto installation and repairs

If you wish to eliminate or reduce the volume of the end of cycle beep you can do so by powering off the unit and turning back on while holding the right button "Cancel/Reset". The beep has 3 volumes levels and silent, press the right "Cancel/Reset" button to cycle through the settings. Power the unit back off to save you setting.

Various control lock features on differing models:

Press the end of cycle signal button for 3 seconds

OR

To reset press the DRAIN/SPIN button and hold it for 15 seconds.

OR

Press and hold the END OF CYCLE button for 15 seconds to reset the control.

OR

Unplug washer
Remove lower kick panel
Reach up and locate bottom of door lock switch
Grab the teardrop shaped tab
Pull gently till yall hear a click
The door will be opened

OR press options and select for 10 secs till LOC is no longer displayed

NOTE: When WRINKLE GUARD _ is selected and the End of
Cycle Signal is on, a tone sounds every 5 minutes until the
clothes are removed, or WRINKLE GUARD _ ends.

Sounds somewhat like a bent shift fork not letting the slider gear dogs fully engage the gear. You probably have metal particles in the oil. Keep riding the bike and you will likely need major repairs. The metal particles are abrasive and thus destructive. Think of putting a teaspoon of fine sand into the gearbox. You can trash an engine pretty quick that way. I suggest you fix the gearbox now, before the top end gets too involved.

Sounds like the hard drive either has bad sectors or has corrupted data and it needs to be formatted.
If checking for errors or formatting doesn't help, you may need to replace the drive. Depending on the hard drive that is installed, it may be getting to the end of useable life cycle or has damaged sectors and causes the MPC to lock up. It may also be that the controller board on the drive is failing.

Check the drive either with the built in utility or connect it to a computer and use a non destructive test utility like HDD Regenerator that runs from a bootable CD on a PC.

if the buzzer is on the main board you may not be able to disconnect it.is ther any buttons that turn it off.
