It's either the logic board or some component that has gone bad. No real way to repair it, unless you tear it down and it's maybe a bad joint or something simple like that.
Best I can tell you to do is to FULLY discharge the battery, as in turn it on, let it die and keep pushing the power button to make sure it's dead. Takes about 48 hours. Once you do that, plug it in and DO NOT try to turn it on, just let it do it's thing and see what happens. Maybe hooking it to a computer after that and seeing if an update will help, also make sure that if there are any cables, external antennas, or cards plugged into it, to remove them during all of that. Best of luck for a resolution.
There is a Reset button on your GPS. On the bottom of your unit is a black label that has your serial number as well as some certification information. If you feel along the left side of the label you will feel an indentation not too far in from the left edge. This is your Reset button. If you have tried cycling your GPS by turning it On and then Off, but you are still having an issue with the unit, you can then depress this Reset button. Do not use anything with too sharp of a point as you can damage the unit by doing so. Use something that has a softer tip and depress the button for about 10 seconds. This should reset your GPS unit to factory default. This means any Favorites you had stored will be lost. Any other data you programmed in, such as gas price, fuel economy, etc., will also be lost.
Thank you for the opportunity to assist you in resolving your issue.

Hit the menu buttom, go to settings, then go to volume and see if it is muted. Sounds like the mute or volume down button got inadvertantly hit and turned down or muted. If this does not work, turn the unit over and look under the fold up antenna for a reset button. Depress this button until the unit restarts and should reset the unit back to factory default settings and get you on your way. Good luck!!! If these don't help you, call the garmin support number at :1-800-800-1020. Hope this helps!
ONE, RESET IT !!! (See resetting instructions below)
TWO, let the battery die out!
Waking up your c330...
If you left your Garmin c330 on running
the battery will have 1% life left. If you turn c330 back on again, it
will flash screen for 3 seconds then die, even charging it at this
point will not wake it back up. TO BRING IT BACK TO LIFE... plug in the
power home or car into Garmin c330. There is a tab in the front Garmin
gray frame of your screen. You must take like your fingernails and
under the logo "GARMIN" pull the whole gray plastic frame off.
Underneath the plastic frame to the right hand side. There is a "RESET"
button. Make sure power is plugged in while hitting reset. Your battery
should come back to life. Cheers

Hello, I currently own a Garmin quest myself, and some time ago I had some strange problems myself, I am a electronics technician, and I do have a work around for you. I will explain the problems and a cure for you to try, none of the work arounds depend on any parts to be removed.
1. NO RECEIVING SATELLITE TELEMETRY. I beleieve this could be due to a number of reasons, but more so at sometime corrupted telemetry was the problem to fix this,
a turn GPS on when booted (initialised)
b. depress menu
select Time Setup
when in Time Setup depress MENU
Select SET DATE
Depress OK button
Depress OK button again on the numberic keypad that appears on the screen (DONE)
what this seems to do is resets the internal date/time clock and the unit starts to work again.
the Second workaround is this but takes hours to perform.
Simply turn the Guest on and allow the battery to fully discharge, usually this works to TOTALLY flush the Memory again, but on my unit I have to setup all the maps again, this is easy to perform, but just takes time. I hope this helps you.
