Re: Candy Fridge freezer
How old is ur unit? Often the motor mount you need to check that rubber make sure its not broken (bushing)or the motor directly touch the rest of the panel below. Or else you need a new motor to eliminate that noise.
Good luck

This is a British make, and whereas I am British, I live in Canada, so my search results favour Canada and I can't find a parts diagram. All fridges have a circulation fan somewhere to mix the air in the fridge so the temperature is even. It shouldn't run constantly, it should cycle and switch off. The humming is worrying as they hum when a start / run capacitor on a motor fails. You need a service call.
The door being open so long caused warm moist air to collect and freeze inside the unit.
Take everything out, unplug it and let it thaw out for an entire day. All the frost will thaw, and probably run water all over the place so put towels down.
Happens when the bearings in the fan or compressor motor are getting worn out. make sure there isn't a piece of cardboard cowling or debris hitting the fan.
Have you had the noise before or did it just start?
Try to isolate where the noise is coming from. From under the fridge? On the back wall of the freezer side? If those two, could possibly be one of the fans.
Candy frost free freezers have a 'self defrost' mechanism to remove excess ice build up. What happens is the ice gets packed around the heat exchanger in the back of the freezer and it can't self defrost. This is easy to fix but will require the fridge to be left switched off with the door open for a couple of days so all the ice can melt. Make sure you left the appliance off for as long as you can as if there is any ice left the problem will just come back.
Sounds like the freezer fan is rubbing some wires or possible some foam insulation around the fan. I would look into the freezer compartment fan and go from there. The fan Will Shut off when you open the doors. Let me know how you make out and if you need anymore help.
