Question about Panasonic PT-47WX49 47" Rear Projection Television
I have a Panasonic PT-47WX49E rear projection TV. Since this morning, I cannot get it to power on. If I turn the power on, I hear some static noise (like static electricity rippling through the system), and then it just turns off. I then try to power it on again, and nothing happens. If I unplug the power cord from the wall outlet and plug it back in I can replicate the turning on followed by an almost immediate turning off again. There is a slight electrical burning smell. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
Thats a power supply module going bad. Dont use it until a person with knowledge on TV see that. Or if you feel you can DIY open the back panel to see if there is a toasted or foreign object near the power supply area. Its located when you follow the main plug going into the back panel of your TV. Look for a dying Fuse too. And watch out for Capacitor that has still current, you may electicuted with that component. That parts its only for qualified servicemen area only.
